The placement cell at SDMIT not only aims to provide job opportunities to its students. But also helps those students who are seeking higher education and competitive exams. SDMIT organise regular awareness sessions and workshops regarding exams like GATE, GRE, GMAT, CAT, and TOEFL, offering insights into preparation methodology, exam patterns, and application process. The cell invites alumni and expert faculty members to counsel the students in selecting the appropriate universities, constructing successful statements of purpose (SOPs), and preparing for interviews. Students are also helped with registering for exams and obtaining study materials. Overall, this support helps students who are looking to pursue postgraduate studies in India or anywhere else with proper preparations and guidance.

Eligibility Criteria

For admission to B.E course, the student should have passed 2nd PUC or 12th Standard or equivalent examination with English as one of the languages and obtaine 45% of marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry, Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology. In case of candidatesbelonging to Karnataka - Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and other Backward Classes(Category I,2A,2B,3A, and 3B), the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40%of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination.
