Candidates must be eligible as per the below-mentioned criteria to apply for the VTU Eligibility Test for Research

A research degree from the university or another institution approved by VTU is required of the candidate.
For a bachelor's or master's degree, candidates must also have a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 6.75 out of 10 or 60%.

To access the VTU Jnanashodha Portal, go to https://jnanashodha.vtu.ac.in/.
Click. Click this link to register. Select the type of program and registration you want to use.
Select the program for which you wish to apply.
Make a password that consists of at least eight characters, including a number, a capital letter, and a lowercase letter.
Press the Submit button.
VTU-ETR will send you an email and a registration ID.
Click the email's activation link.
Enter the one-time password that was sent to the registered mobile phone.
Enter your login information.

Important documents such as proof of age, proof of address, employment certificate (for those who are employed), and caste certificate (for SC/ST applicants) must be submitted by candidates at the time of registration. Candidates will receive additional information on their admission via email.
