- The beautiful courses on mathematics and the professors.
- Besides math we did very good courses on CS, such as Numarical computing, BAsic programming languages C++, Python, R and Design and analysis of algorithms etc
Dislikes
- There were some physics courses which don't lie in my interests.
- The people outside campus (they behave very badly if you don't know kannada)
Internships Opportunities:
Every year professor here took students for research projects/ summer projects (this is only about the math department). There are many departments, if you look at the LIS/QMS department they get very good internships. They earn up to 1 lakh/month via those internships.

- Nothing much, just the college does not provide much options in extra curricular activities.
Internships Opportunities:
Students from 2nd year onwards apply for internships, and are offered good positions, they take their opportunities to develop practical knowledge on data science and industrial skills. Almost everyone who apply for internships are offered positions.

- The environment, the friendly professors and seniors, the course, really are the best
- Add to that the monthly stipend, no financial burden and stress free life for 5 years.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure could be a bit better.
Internships Opportunities:
Internship opportunities are offered to students from 2nd year onwards. Most of our seniors have done internships at companies like JP Morgan & Chase, etc. More details can be found on the placement Brochure. Overall, for those people who love maths, ISI is THE BEST option, even more than IITs. I can say this with confidence since I left IIT Kgp Systems for ISI. Such students are very common in ISI. Unfortunately, a vast majority of students are not aware of this wonderful opportunity.
Placement Experience:
Placement is always 100% successful because the institute has good tie-ups with the industry. With an average salary of INR 19 LPA the institute offers a successful placement drive. Companies like Reliance, Deloitte etc come for placement.

The maximum salary offered was Rs 40.97 LPA and average was Rs 25.05 LPA for 2017-2019 session. Total 60 students were selected for 2017-2019 batch. There is great enthusiasm to maintain the excellent opportunity from the placement drive.

Placement cell is active and good trainings are given. Various job offers are available in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science and allied fields. The ISI is a reputed institute and more recruiters are welcomed.

Since I wish to go for a PhD, I am working on research projects and not much interested in job internships.

The students can apply for internships through various sources according to their personal choices. However, the students of ISIBC are invited for summer projects in top tier labs of France, the USA, UK, Singapore, etc. Our semester marks, research papers and knowledge are the criteria for the above.

Internships are offered in companies that require analysts and data. However, most of the students are not interested in internships, they work with professors for projects. Projects often lead to writing high-quality papers in mathematics.
Placement Experience:
Placement are awesome here with avg salary more than 15/16lacpa ( which is comparable with IIMs) If you want to go for research the training which you will get during B. Stat and M. Stat will make you confident and comfortable in your phd. Lots of world best universities including standard, Hardvard offers phd for every year to ISI M. Stat students.
