I applied for 4 courses, out of which I was shortlisted for 2 (BD & RM). Out of the 2, I picked RM because I am interested in marketing, and when I went through the course curriculum (available on the website) it interested me enough to apply. the subjects listed were very interesting. There have been about 12 subjects each trim so far and they have been taught by permanent as well as visiting faculties. I would say that the faculty-to-student ratio is fair and doubts get cleared even if the class is a bit much with 62 students. Almost all faculties are either people who are or were working in the corporate world. And all of them are Ph.D. with industry knowledge. The term exams were conducted after just 2.5 months and just after the inter assessments, therefore it was a little hectic. Passing the exams was of moderate difficulty, if one studies it was not very tough to crack.

I chose the Retail management course because I was interested in marketing and the strength of the class is 62. The college also has other courses and the faculty is also good. The exam is on a trimester basis. We have a few permanent faculty and some are visiting. These faculties are excellent, Some of them own their firms and some of them are in very senior positions at MNCs.

The course is great to mix proper practical and theoretical Learning. The course gives a proper touch of the retail industry and also it gives a plus point over a normal pg or MBA degree. Faculties are well equipped and industry expert's with lots of knowledge, providing us with industry exposure.

The course curriculum of Welingkar institute of management is very comprehensive and well-structured curriculum includes a mix of theoretical and practical components which helps to run to understand the concepts better and apply them in real-world scenarios the faculty member at Welingkar are highly qualified and experienced in their respective fields they have a good mix of industry and academic experience which helps them to provide relevant and current knowledge to the students.
My course is PGDM- Retail Management. I chose this program out of my interest in the Indian retail industry. Faculty are extremely talented and they provide the best guidance to students. Faculty are punctual, they teach things that are absolutely necessary. The teaching method is not just theoretical but practically taught using industry immersions and live projects.
I chose the course because I had prior interests in it. I don't have any idea about the Faculty: students ratio All the faculties are highly qualified, Almost all have done a doctorate. Exams were scheduled as per trimesters.
Retail is an industry that is expected to grow by 84% by 2024. With the pandemic, the sector got even more boom especially e-commerce. The course is designed to accommodate the current and future changes of the sector. The teachers are pioneers in their fields. Sadly because of covid lectures are being conducted online but that being said the quality of knowledge is nothing less.
Choose PGDM-Retail because had prior work ex in the field of retail hence wanted to take forward career in same field. Faculty at Welingkar are highly qualified and have enough work ex in corporates. Hence they provide quality teaching.
I Choose Retail management from the welingkar institute of technology. Retail Management has the large potential to grow in the upcoming future. As the Retail industry moving from an unorganised to an organised sector then it will require skilled people to manage the sector and in the context of India has a large retail market and so on the opportunities. Welingkar has a large number of faculties to teach and manage students. Most of the faculty are PHD holders and having corporate experience of more than one decade. The college: student is 1 for 23-30 students. Welingkar curriculum having a trimester system and have Mcq and subjective questions both and it is manageable but the problem is to score better as the college have the grading system.
As Welingkar Institute provides various PGDM courses so you have to apply as per your choice. Most people prefer their flagship PDGM courses. I had also applied for that and my otter preferences were retail, and e-biz which are their best programs after PDGM core. I opted for retail management because I found it really good to go for. So my class strength is 60. And the faculties are really good and curriculum is designed in a way that provides you all the relevant knowledge that one needs to start their career and it also depends on individual how they grasp all that are being taught.
