SIMS Pune MBA Eligibility
- Candidates must have passed graduation with 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC/ST/PWD candidates).
- Defence category candidates should be son/daughter/spouse of Defence personnel.
- Final year candidates can also apply. However, admission of such candidates subject to obtaining at least 50% marks in the qualifying exam.
SIMS Pune MBA Selection Criteria
- Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies Pune will shortlist those applicants who will qualify the SNAP Test and have applied for an MBA course before the last date.
- The shortlisted candidates will be called for GD, PI and WAT.
- The final selection will depend upon the performance in above rounds.
- Those who will get selected will have their names in the merit list and the institute will send the intimation of offer letter to them on their email.

Candidates applying for MBA course have to register for SNAP on the official website of SNAP entrance test. The steps to register are as follows:
- Go to the official website of SNAP
- Select SIMS Pune from various colleges displayed on your screen.
- Now click on the ‘Apply Now” tab.
- Register yourself by providing essential details
- Pay the SNAP fee of INR 2250/-.
- After SNAP registration, apply for SIBM-Pune MBA course in the same application form.
- Lastly, pay the application fee of INR 1000/-
Mode of Payment for SNAP Test - Candidates can pay the SNAP Fee via Billdesk Payment Gateway, Easebuzz Payment Gateway, Indian Bank Gateway and Demand Draft.
NOTE - Demand Draft(s) should reach the Symbiosis Test Secretariat by 5:00 pm on November 23 else it will be returned to the respective candidates.

We only have a quota for defense employees at our college, with an 80 percent reserve. The majority of the pupils come from a military background. The admissions procedure went without a hitch. Before the start of the class, we had counseling. You have to have a bachelors' from a recognized board along with a minimum 50 percentile in the SNAP exam.

You have to register for SNAP exam and then for SIMS on its official website. One has to get minimum 50 percentile in SNAP to be elligible for SIMS, Pune. There is weightage given to your UG marks and 10th, 12th score also. The overall process is very smooth.
Admission:
Like all other colleges under Symbiosis University, SIMS too, requires clearing the cut off of the SNAP entrance exam. The cut off is usually 92 percentile. After getting shortlisted for the same, there is a GD, WAT, PI round, where in the further competencies of the candidate is tested. The WAT topics are like complete the story kind, GD topics (if conducted) are mostly from current affairs, and the interview questions are usually about one's personality and self, with few academic questions as well. The overall process is conducted properly.

In our college, we only have a defence personnel quota and 80% reservation for it. Most of the students are from defence backgrounds. The admission process was smooth. We had counselling before the commencement of the class.

I have applied for 3 colleges under the SYMBIOSIS umbrella namely SIBM, Pune SIMS,Pune SCHMRD, Pune. In SIMS Pune i got admission through the defense quota. If we talk about the criteria of college First you have to give a snap exam after that if you are in the cut-off list then you are invited for GDPI Round which is a very fun loving and learning experience for me. The academic criteria for SIMS is at least 50% marks in graduation and not particular about age. After GDPI rounds are over of all the selected candidates the college releases the final list of selected candidates who got admission in SIMS.

It was a good college that provided good placement services. Also, it was a defense college and I being a defense background kid wanted to be a part of this. The college provided me with very good exposure.

SIMS has always been known as an Institution for students with a defence background as it provides 90% seats to them and 10% seats to civilians/open-category students. This provides a good diversity ratio among students. SIMS is ranked 9th overall in India & is among the top 3 B-Schools in the state of Maharashtra in private institutes in India. One of the reasons to choose SIMS was this student & cultural diversity and international exposure that couldn't possibly be experienced anywhere in the world. Also, what attracted me the most towards SIMS was, it is a completely student-run institution where all the activities like from planning & organizing an event or conference to placement drives of students, everything is handled and trusted upon to students.

It is one of the best BBA colleges in India. It has diverse crowd and great infrastructure. In addition, SCMS is known for its fest Sympulse which is the best in Pune. The college also provides with great placements opening doors to a bright future.
Remarks:
I am from defense background, and this college is the best example of PPP. It is one amongst the few top B schools in India and best college from the perspective of ROI. It is an old and well established institutes under the Symbiosis International University and hence give an exposure to diversity as well.
