Symbiosis Institute of Technology is a part of Symbiosis International University and was established in 2008. Institute currently offers B. Tech programs in Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning and Robotics & Automation, and M.Tech programs in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Robotics & Automation and Embedded Systems. In 2010, the Institute introduced Ph. D. Degree in the Faculty of Engineering.
For B.Tech, candidates are selected on the basis of SIT Engineering Entrance Exam (SIT EEE) or JEE (Main) or Any State Government Engineering Entrance Examination and for M.Tech only GATE qualified candidates are eligible for admission. SIT Pune admissions are done through online mode. Follow the subsequent steps given below:
- Candidates need to register online at the official website before the last date of registration.
- Fill in the details asked in the application form and attach the scanned soft copy of the documents that are asked for.
- Pay the Application Fees & Exam Registration Fees (SIT EEE).
Symbiosis Institute of Technology Pune Scholarships
- PG Merit Scholarships are postgraduate scholarships that will be awarded to meritorious students. Scholarships worth 50% of the tuition fee are available for all courses.
- UG Merit Scholarships are undergraduate scholarships that will be awarded to meritorious students. Scholarships worth 50% of the tuition fee are available for all courses.
- As per revised policy semester toppers will be awarded a scholarship based on academic excellence, a minimum GPA of 8.50.
- Only those students will be eligible for the award of Merit Scholarship who have cleared the courses prescribed for the respective program i.e. they should not have any backlog.
- The student who has been awarded merit scholarship by the University shall not be debarred from stipend or any financial assistance from any other source. However, if the student is awarded any stipend or financial assistance from any other source, he/she shall communicate the same through the Institute to the office of Student Affairs, SIU.
- There will be no income limit of the parents/guardians of the students for the grant of merit scholarship.
- In case a student is eligible for more than one scholarship/freeship by the University, he/she shall be awarded only one scholarship/freeship as per his/her preference.

I had applied for NMIMS mumbai. But i got admission in SIT before it so i preferred joining SIT rather than NMIMS. The exam was not so tough and i had met all the eligibility documents and formats. The fees is much high in NMIMS rather than SIT

- One of the best aspects of this college is that in veery class of every batch, there is a faculty who is appointed as mentor for every 20 students. It's their job to ensure the students attendance, academic performance, and to solve any issues faced.
- There are continuous assessments for students which makes them brush up their syllabus frequently while the examinations held are under strict vigilance. The professors also assign mini projects which might be individual or team led .
Dislikes
- The hostels although safe might sometimes be overwhelming due to some unnecessary rules and regulations. The guards although friendly and supportive, this might not be the same in case of some of the wardens or employees of campus admin office.
- There are some regulations in campus which might seem less sensible such as not allowing more than 3 people in a room ( not even from the same hostel) .
Admission:
I also applied to SRM Institute of Technology, VIT( Vellore Institue of Technology. I chose SIT over my other options because of the teacher to student ratio and also because of the location of this college which is in Pune therefore it provides a large number of opportunities since many industries and software companies are based in the same city. The placement rates and avd package is also better the many of the colleges of the same tier.

- The college is on a little bit of the relaxed side they arent as strict and there are alot of workarounds in things that shouldnt be worked around on.
- However attendance is quite steict and stidents have to comply otherwiae just for minute loss in attendance we may potentially get a back
Admission:
I had applied to MIT-WPU as well as SIT and got into both colleges but i preffered SIT as the field i got here was better in oppurtinity and i believe it holds more value over MIT as of now due to symbiosis still having a low acceptance rate in comparison to MIT. To get into SIT get more than 45% in boards, you nay give 3 exams that they accept which is CET (93 percentile cutoff), SITEEE (exam given by college aim to score more than 80/120), JEE (85 percentile cutoff).

Scholarship Guidelines and Eligibility
- As per revised policy semester topper will be awarded a scholarship based on academic excellence, and a minimum GPA of 8.5.

Scholarship Guidelines and Eligibility
- As per revised policy semester topper will be awarded the scholarship based on academic excellence, and a minimum GPA of 7.50.
- Only those students will be eligible for the award of Merit Scholarship who have cleared the courses prescribed for the respective program. i.e. they should not have any backlog.
- The student who has been awarded merit scholarship by the University shall not be debarred from stipend or any financial assistance from any other source. However, if the student is awarded any stipend or financial assistance from any other source, he/she shall communicate the same through the Institute to the office of Student Affairs, SIU.
- There will be no income limit of the parents/guardians of the students for the grant of merit scholarship.
- In case a student is eligible for more than one scholarship/freeship by the University, he/she shall be awarded only one scholarship/freeship as per his/her preference.
- If two or more than two students have the same GPA/CGPA, then the weighted average of the academic score of 10th, 12th and graduation shall be considered for breaking the tie for a scholarship for the semester 1.
- If a recipient of merit scholarship is found guilty of gross misconduct, his/her case after due warning shall be reported by the institute to the office of student affairs for withdrawal of merit scholarship.
- The final decision in this regard will be taken by the Advisory Committee of Symbiosis Society Foundation.

Yes, you can get admission to SIT Pune B.Tech. under lateral entry option. The eligibility of the Lateral Entry course is to complete Diploma in Engineering course.
SIT Pune offers Computer Science Engineering under B.Tech. The eligibility of the course is to complete HSC with Physics, Chemisty and Mathematics. and secured at least forty five percent marks.
The admission process of Symbiosis Institute of Technology M.Tech. Computer Science is to clear GATE Examination or equivalent examination with valid scores.
The fee per year for the Btech CSE is INR 3.30 Lakhs at the Symbiosis Institute of Technology. You must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry /Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subjects. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together and Good Scores in any one of the following entrance exams: SIT Engineering Entrance Exam (SIT EEE) or JEE (Main) or Any State Government Engineering Entrance Examination.
Is SIT examination the only way to get into symbiosis?
No, SIT is not the only examination which you need to clear for taking admission to Symbiosis. There are other examinations as well for admission such as EEE and JEE Mains.
The per year fee of a Bachelor of Technology CSE in SIT Pune is INR 3 lacs. There is also an Institute Security Deposit (refundable) to be paid of 20 thousand.
