Cst is new and emerging course having a vast placement opportunities and high paying ratio among other tech courses. Course is quite classic and stereotypical rather than mordern methods, inustry is 10 to 15 years ahead from what we are bieng taught. Teaching should introduce interactive lecture and quizzes Exam frequency is very bad as every month end introduce a series of exams and costs a hefty tension.

I am currently studying in CST ( computer Science and Technology), It is somehow has old curriculum, need to update the course. And in 1st year student of evey branch has common subject, which I don't consider beneficial for carrier and future opportunities.

The curriculam followed in first year was old in our time they taught us mechanical subjects and also physics chemistry . Their was only 1 programming languae for the first year so i felt the curriculam could have been better and updated with more techinal subjects . The curriculam should have more technical subjest in 1st year rather replacing few subjects , their should be more of practical learning and learning through examples and learning to code while making a projects , methods likle that should be opted in my suggestion. The frequency were pretty high in first year as our semester was of 4 months each so it was exams back to back and exam level was normal.

Curriculum is not up to the mark. It was out dated , but for new batch they revisied the syallbus which is much better than old one that we have. About exams for each semester you have mid term and end term examination for both praticals and theroy. For theroy the ratio is 25:75 for mid term:end term and for praticals ratio is 40:60

my course is Btech in Computer Science & Technology It is same as CSE with some minor changes. It is a nice course and is considered well by the recruiters. The faculty student ratio for classes is about 8:1 and for labs is about 4:1. The gender ratio in the college for BTech is not very grate about 8:1 (boys:girls). Faculty is well qualified and takes effort in teaching the students. As always some teachers have very great teaching style and some does not as good teaching style to be honest. Their is a mid term exam after one and half month and end terms after same duration(the timing of exams can change , in our time 2nd mid term also occured) . Their are internal and external practicals also in between mid and end terms. The level of the mid term and end term is decent. But checking in mid term is little harder. except for calculative subjects(maths, electrical, derivtions in physics) other subjects can be wind up in 1 months for 8 above cgpa.

I chose CST because I had interest in computers especially coding. The faculty-student ratio is good and the faculty is also very supportive. The faculty is highly qualified PHD holders and even IIT Delhi Post graduates. The exams are at good intervals and it was not at all difficult to pass them.

I have a keen interest in computers and programming. I was able to get into the Computer Science and Technology (CST) branch on a merit basis. A good amount of professors teach very well and are also ready to help you with problems which may not concern their subject. The teaching method remains common everywhere, discussions in class along with short notes on the whiteboard. You will have to self-study many of the things as not everything is covered in the classes.

MAIT was near my hometown and this was one of the best possible colleges with a good placement record according to my JEE MAINS Rank. And I wanted to get into Computer Science related field so I chose Information Technology. Faculty: Student Ratio - Student to faculty ratio is very good here. We have a different prof. for every different subject in every semester even the optional subject. Though the total number of faculty is not known there is a good number of faculty for sure better than other colleges. Teaching methods here are too traditional, nothing like new-age classrooms with projectors and Smartboards, teachers here are not that active and they do not put much effort into the classroom. Also, attendance is not a big issue here, students can easily skip class and are still not Detained from taking exams. Every semester has Two exams, mid-term and end-term. Mid-term starts around 6 weeks from the starting day of the semester. End-term is 5-6 weeks from mid-terms.
