MAIT College Review

Dislikes

  • Small size of Infrastructure, playground is very small
  • There is no games / sports period in the timetable. However, you can play anytime in the ground when you are free or bunked the classes.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I am currently studying in CST ( computer Science and Technology), It is somehow has old curriculum, need to update the course. And in 1st year student of evey branch has common subject, which I don't consider beneficial for carrier and future opportunities.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

College fees is around 1,73,900 per year ( for 2023-27) batch for b.tech, which increase every year by 10,000 approx. College and university both provide scholarship for those who comes from low income background.

Campus Life :

Campus life is somehow boring for those who is introvert or do not make friends easily. There are many societies (tech and non - tech) , which will fill your college life with enjoyment and you will learn many things from them.

Admission :

I gave the entrance exam JEE MAINS through which I filled GGSIPU counseling and got CST ( Computer Science and Technology) in Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, New Delhi. Overall admission process is very easy and time saving. I went to college where they give some documents to fill and submit to the alloted desk.

Faculty :

Faculty are very helpful and cooperative. Theysolved the doubts immediately when asked, rather if they are not busy in any meeting or any other doubt session. Faculty reach in class on time. They make things easy to understand. However, some lab helpers are somehow angry in nature.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I CHOOSED THIS COURSE AS THE COURSES OFFERED HER PURELY INDUSTRY DRIVEN AND ARE ONGOING DEMANDING RIGHT NOW. ALSO I REASON FOR OPTING FOR ROBOTICS BRANCH OVER AIDS AND AIML WAS THAT I BELEIVE THE SOFTWARE IN INDIA IS ABOUT TI END AND ITS TIME FOR A MANUFACTURING BOOM IN INDIA IN WHICH THERE WILL DEMAND FOR ROBOTS AND ROBOTICS ENGEENER WILL RISE A LOT. THE FACULTY: STUDENT RATIO IS DECENT BUT I AM NOT AWARE OF THE EXACT RATIO , AS THERE ARE ALWAYS HIRING OF THE FACULTIES ARE GOING ON IN OUR CAMPUS , AND THE QUALIFICATION OF THE FACULTY IS ALSO NICE AS ALL THE FACULTY MEMBERS ARE EITHER DOING THEIR PHD IS SOME REPUTED CLG OR HAVE COMPLETED THAT . WE HAVE OUR MID TERM AFTER 2-2.5 MONTHS OF THE START OF THR SEM AND THEN AFTER 15-20 DAYS THERE ARE OUR PRACTICALS AND THEN AFTER NEXT 20 DAYS ITS TIME FOR THE END TERM . AND THE DIFFICULTY LEVEL OF THE EXAMS WERE JUST DECENT AS IF YOU HAVE STUDIED FOR JUST 3-4 DAYS PROPERLY BEFORE THE EXAMS YOU CAN EASILY PASS THE EXAMS .(JUST TO CLEAR EXAM)

Placement Experience:

As far as placement is concerned placement is decent in this college there are not many companies but students are also very less there is very little competition. So try to get a job as early as possible in this college. Many big companies such as TCS, Accenture, events, haxaview come to our college. Average packages are around 7 lakhs.

Placement Experience:

If you are interested in placements you will get placed. Almost half of IT students get placed plus many core branch students also got placed. Many companies visited campus this year like amazon, Adani group, etc. The highest package one bagged was 44.5 LPA by CSE Branch Student in amazon. Many Students bagged many placements over here, although mainly IT jobs came for hiring.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements take place during the 7th semester. Any company you name probably visits the campus. Google, Microsoft, Apple, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase & Co in tech and finance to Bain, Boston Consulting Group in Consulting to HUL, ITC in Core sector all offer lucrative packages. The highest domestic package in 2020-21 was 82 LPA CTC and foreign package was upwards of a crore.

Remarks:

Most important that it was affordable. Secondly it is a government institute. Also, the location is good and easy to reach. The area is well connected and Govindpuri metro and Nehru place bus stand both are at walking distance.

Placement Experience:

There are several prestigious company like Mahindra and Godrej that come for placements. Also mass recruiters like Infosys come for placements.

Remarks:

I wanted to pursue B.tech and that too in Delhi, didn't get good opportunity in JAC so considered IPU for same and then explored the colleges. I found this college good for this degree, management & Staff too is co-operative.

Placement Experience:

Placement record has been good and it's improving yearly. Companies like Amazon, TCS etc are visiting college for On Campus Placements and our Placement Department in co-ordination with our HODs are trying harder to get more and more companies On Campus.

Jee Main, I got 223 in mains and 92% in CBSE Boards Rank - 8760, Branch - ECE. I opted for IIITD, because it has a wonderful infrastructure and have interesting course structure and helps to curate a better person out of everyone.

Admission:

Admission was through JAC, a joint admission process for DTU, IIITD, NSIT, and IGDTUW. Form rolled out in July after jee main ranks were declared. I filled out choices and got IIITD ECE in the first round, it was my second preference so, I was expecting that I will get my first preference by the end of 3rd round, but I didn't get it. There is one spot round too, which happens after 4 rounds of preference based admission.

I gave a number of entrance exams like jee mains, jee advanced, bitsat, vitee. Admissions in DTU are based on your score in JEE mains score and board percentage in which I got 174 marks and 94.8% respectively. Although I gave satisfactory performances in other exams too I chose DTU because other than studies it gives you the opportunity and environment to develop socially too.

Placement Experience:

More than 90% students got placed last year and placements were really very good. Companies which come to DTU are Amazon, Flipkart, codenation, Adobe, Google, epic, Samsung, Thorogh good, Hike, paytm, Expedia and many more. Google offered a whooping package of 1.27 core to a student from IT batch. Epic offered 70 lakhs to 11 students. Goldman Sachs offered 28 lakhs. The average package is around 10-12 lakhs.
