What is the cutoff for KJ Somaiya Vidyavihar first year engineering? What are the minimum marks in JEE in boards, along with percentile?

I have a few friends from KJ Somiya and they gave me some information regarding the required cutoff at the institute. The cut-off was apparently on the higher side in the CAP rounds because the institute was granted autonomy very recently. The state merit rank for the mechanical branch was almost around 500 - 1000. For computer science engineering, the cut-off ranged almost to 1600 - 1800, while it was 3000 - 3500 until CAP-2 with the inclusion of a percentile that was around 96. It is best that you keep patience until the last counseling round, which is, CAP-3. If you are a general category student then you won’t get selected in CAP-1, you need to wait till the last round or the spot round. Alternatively, you can also go for autonomous colleges instead of university colleges.

What are the chances to get admission in KJ Somaiya for a BTech with 74.88 percentile in the JEE Mains (January)?

Rather than JEE Mains percentile, KJ Somaiya takes admission based on JEE Mains rank. For 2021, the required cutoff for KJ Somaiya was as follows. Branch Cutoff Computer Science 1338 Information Technology 1824 Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering 4525 Artificial Intelligence and Data Science 2562 These were the cutoff for general category students.

College is good as a medical student you get lot of exposure for clinical practice I'm physiotherapy student
Campus is good. sports turf available for cricket football

Teaching staff is good supportive in all ways
Hospital has many patients so no worries about practice

Eligibility criteria admission is needed to qualify NEET exam after which on the basis of the cutoff you can get admission here. As the college is top in ranking so cutoff also goes high every year you need at least 450 plus Mark

The enormous campus provides a sense of freedome and promotes the sense of exploration. It has ample green spaces, Modern facility
The robust security system and its measures at somaiya ensures safe and secure enviroment for student and staff.

The staff at somaiya are still orthodox which includes getting nagged when you are with a female friend
The process of obtaining permission from heads for student organised events can be troublesome and difficult

Eligibility for the course in somaiya was based on their merit list which started of from 92% which later dropped to near 55% All the forms, fees and dates are provided in somaiya's own website. The website is user friendly aswell but it has a lot of bugs Highest reservation given in somaiya is for gujrati students. The exams are quite easy because you just have to prepare from question paper from last 4 years and you pass with flying colours The admisson process is very slow, the staff is not very responsive, only one window for thousand students,

Of the course depends upon the percentage of 12th and also the closing list percentage as well The application form can be found via website of KGsomaiya.com, and also through off-line form by visiting the office The frequency and timing of exams along with my perspective was decent. In difficulty level was also decent, but the faculty was not very stick towards the exam and students could copy easily without the fear of being caught Areas of improvement in the admission process is the main thing is staff and corporation. The way they talk and respond to every question students ask or your parents ask they are very rude and they do not have the right to talk to student in a rude manner

First of all the campus of college is very big and it is something 67-68 acers
The teaching methods of teachers in college is very nice they provide technology too

First u have to fill form of somaiya on somaiya website after that payment 100 of form then u will get a offer letter of admission confirm then u have to submit documents in college like aadhar card, marksheet, admission form The application form and application dates fees will be available in somaiya's website

Overall Campus is good , with sports facilities.

Faculty can be improved and student teacher relations should be improved.
Campus in/out time should be changed and permission to roam in campus 24/7.

I got admission through MHT CET with around 95 percentile. Can get admission through JEE Mains also JEE mains can be given twice a year with moderate to difficult levels. MHT CET is easier than JEE mains, getting one chance a year

College dunia explores KJSCE.

Freedom of choice of exposure course. Here they have alot of options such as sports ,arts, film making, singing etc
Flexible curriculum. As in mumbai University you have to pass internals as well as externals in kjsce you get to pass with internals+external. This allows student to focus on extra courses and be job ready.

Class doens't have ac as Mumbai is now getting way more hot. But the college has find a solution and ac will be installed in upcoming month
That's all I don't think this college has anything to be dislike

Eligibility for this course is PERACET /SAT /MHT-CET /CUET /JEE MAINS college accepts all this exams. After scoring atleast 70+%ile apply through their website. Kjsce does have reservations only for Gujaratis. The admission process is very smooth. I don't think there's any kind of improvement

KJSIT: A Student Perspective

First year teaching staff is experienced and friendly.
Campus has almost all facilities necessary.

Despite being autonomous college they don't have updated syllabus. They follow Mumbai University.

In order to secure admission to this institute you have to take the MHT-CET examination. Further, after that, you get admission through the centralized admission process (CAP) carried by cet cell. Getting a decent 95 percentile could be eligible for the course. The cet examination is of 3hrs for 200 marks. The difficulty of the examination is at par with jee mains. I got 96.69 so I guess it's easy. The first preference for admission is given to the Maharashtra state candidates and then to other candidates. The seat distribution is 80% through the CET exam and 20% through the JEE MMains exam. The admission process is very easy and not that complicated.
