- The size of each classroom in btech year is approximately 100 which gradually decreases as we ascend years. All teachers are attentive to each student which is very good.
- The laboratories are well maintained and are enough for the students to learn the experiments.

Admission:
The admission process of this college went smoothly. All the colleges I applied to are basically the same, sitting at Tier 2. This college was in my state and is also well know for its disciplined pass outs who are making there name in various fields and is preferred over the other colleges I applied to. I applied through there private exam IEMJEE, and ranked 68 amongst thousands, hence I was eligible for CSE, which was the reason I came here.

I applied for VIT too, but at the end it was too far for me and decided to settle for a good college in my hometown only. There is another college named "JECRC" in jaipur, I had 2 options to choose from but after getting a tour of both universities I found UEMJ as to be better suitable university for me because of clean and green environment and i also commute with few of faculties and they seems really supportive that canges my mide about switching college to JECRC.

- There are many things I liked. The educations system is so good . So good infrastructure . It has reached BITS PILANI LEVEL as said by our owner sir prof Satyajeet Chakraborty also known as Alex Chakraborty . The basketball court is alos lit .
- We also liked varioud projects been made by us and our teachers together . They helped us in all aspect . The canteen is also good . There are ac in many rooms and the other rooms will also get soon hopefully .
Dislikes
- I don't like the uniform which has been given by our college . It gives us a vibe about we are in school . Many other college students mock us for this and this can be changed . It would be better and the uniforms are long and thick .
- The infrastructure although good is not of the level os IIT and NITs . It can be made way more better and it is being made way more better by our sir prof Satyajeet Chakraborty also known as Sir Alex Chakraborty .

It is the best private college in West Bengal and the third best engineering college according to the NIRF rankings . I also compared it with techno and heritage but I think it is superior than those colleges .

I attempted the IEMJEE exam for the MCA entrance in the UEMK, and passed the exam on first attempt. The admission dept. Helped us quite a few times. And the test was moderate. Timings are quite good and they offer the facility to give the exams from home.

What are some do's and dont's at IEM Kolkata ?
My sister graduated from IEM Kolkata in June 2016 and she is now working as a consultant at KPMG. She shared some of her experiences and the basic do’s and don'ts she followed while studying there.
- IEM Kolkata is very strict with its college timings and the students have to be very punctual. She suggested that they must reach college before 9:10 AM as the morning assembly starts at that time. Or else they can enter the college only after lunch time which starts at 12:20 PM.
- All the students must maintain attendance of minimum 80%. This is very important as students will be prohibited from giving exams with lower percentages of attendance.
- The students should submit all their projects, assignments and reports to their respective professors on time to maintain a good image in the college. This can be very crucial while getting internal marks which increases the overall marks in final exams.
- The students must be able to build a good relation with their professors. This can help a lot in the long term to get many information about higher studies and their recommendations helps a lot in deciding the right college or career for our future.
Maintaining good grades is very important because students with lower grades are considered not capable enough for placements in top popular companies. They can sit for placements at non IT companies though. Students with lower grades don't get good opportunities in the college so one must maintain above average grade in his/her subjects, to secure a placement or even opt for higher studies.
The top recruiting companies that participate in their placement program include, Google, Microsoft, Accenture, Capgemini, L&T, Wipro, TCS, Mindtree and many more.

Yes, you are eligible to apply for an MBA course. Technically, you need to have completed your graduation, to get admission to an MBA degree. But students in their final year of graduation can appear in MBA entrance examinations. If you are able to score a decent percentile in the entrance, you will get a provisional admission. Your admission will be final, once you complete your graduation with the required aggregate marks. Your provisional admission will be finalized once your graduation results are declared and you submit the relevant proofs.
