IEM Kolkata MBA Admission 2024: Eligibility, Selection Criteria, Placements, Exam Pattern

Institute of Engineering & Management (IEM) Kolkata MBA Admissions 2024 will begin soon. Admissions to the program will be based on CAT/ JEMAT MAKAUT exam score along with institute's own personal interview and group discussion. Institute of Engineering & Management (IEM), Kolkata, offers MBA courses in four different streams i.e. Marketing, Finance, System, and Human Resource Management. Candidates must have a Graduate/ Post Graduate degree in any discipline to eligible to apply for this program. The institute charges an overall fee of INR 6 lakhs (four semesters) for its MBA program.

IEM MBA Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have a graduation or post graduation degree with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible to apply for an MBA program.

IEM MBA Admission Guidelines

The candidates who want to get into IEM for Management course have to take up the CAT/JEMAT exam. The CAT/JEMAT scores are required for admission to the college. Along with the entrance exam a personal interview and group discussion will also take place in the premises of the institute. Candidates can submit applications online.

How to Apply?

The candidates eligible for the course can apply online from the official site of IEM, www.iemcal.com .
Application forms can be downloaded from the site and filled up and submitted within the last dates provided by Institute of Engineering & Management (IEM).
Application fee of Rs. 2000/- should be paid after submitting the application.

IEM MBA Exam Pattern

IEM Kolkata accepts CAT/ JEMAT scores to allow admission to its MBA program. Given below are the details of the IEM MBA exam pattern:

MAKAUT Exam Pattern

The exam contains 50 questions and five groups of questions relating to General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, Numerical Ability and other major subjects.
Each question is of two marks with a time duration of 90 minutes.

CAT Exam Pattern

CAT Exam contains three sections which include Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation.
The total number of questions is 100 and the total mark is 300, with time duration of 120 minutes. The exam has questions based on both MCQ and non- MCQ type.

I like the various sports conducted in the college campus.
I like the cultural programs conducted by the college.

I don't like the bathrooms it is very dirty
The size of the campus is very small where is just a small field in the back of the college

I choose this course because it has better opportunities in the future and I have a keen interest in this course. The ratio between faculty and students is adequate our faculty members are highly qualified. Term exams are held two times before the end-semester exam and the semester exam is easier than expected.

Nice experience,, great place to showcase your talent. Nice and well decorated campus with greenery. Many fests are organised all over the year. Good placement and nice management.
The classrooms can be more nice, smart board in all classes is needed.

Nothing much, but yes campus should have residential hostel and a big playground.
No big playground to play around for students.

This course is a professional course, and it helps to learn management nicely. Very good faculty members. The teacher-student ratio is fine and well-managed. The professors are very polite and helpful. Well-qualified teachers and offline teaching method. Exams are conducted every 2 months.

Internship Opportunity & details.

Discipline, Teaching process is excellent in IEM.

The management of IEM is slower in case of notify any update to the students.

I have chosen MBA to enhance my skill and knowledge in the management field and to grow in the corporate. 1:15 is the faculty-student ratio. Most of the faculties are Ph.D. holders. Notes are shared in the form of a PPT. Two mid-semester exams were there each semester. It's not that difficult to pass the exam if you attended classes regularly.

I liked the students from different parts of west Bengal, their culture, every people is good at something or other other than studies, Friendly nature of faculties, Different management fest and activities, group activities and project work

The course curriculum & faculty members are good & supportive. The faculty-student ratio is 15:100. Industry experts & PPT and One to one and one-to-many interaction basis. 2 mid semester before 1st sememster and same process till 4th semester. The exam is moderate.

I have done MBA with dual specialization. There was 2 major. One is in Marketing and another one is in Business Analytics. It was 2 years of Full Time MBA programs. No, you cannot get admission to BCA. You must have maths, stats, computer science, computer applications or business maths as one compulsory subject with 50% marks in aggregate in 12th.
