According to my opinion we can't study every parts of engineering in a 4 year BTech degree. We get a whole concept of engineering. And the study of engineering never ends it is according to our job area.If we go for a job in designing field we must study more about that field and if we go for manufacturing area then we must study more about that field. So we can't acquire everything from a college but from this college we can acquire a perfect view of how to approach job opportunities and how to make them easy . After the corona period the exam frequencies have changed alot We don't get time to Study perfectly for the exam I hope it'll be normal after some times

I think the duration for each semester is very short and is tiring. Students may not be able to cope up with the pace of this curriculum. I think each semester should atleast last for a period of 5 or 6 months. Extra curricular activities should also be promoted

As per me personally, i am interested in aerospace engineering. But there are no government colleges via keam entrance where aeronautical engineering is present. So i chose mechanical engineering which was my next option. I am interested in studying about mechanisms inside the machines, vehicles etc. Im really interested in space technologies also. Thermodynamics, fluid machinery, mechanics, solids are all seemed interesting for me rather than civil or electrical subjects. I also am interested in the manufacturing of missiles, and machines there in defense field. So overall mechanical engineering seemed approachable for me. Coming to my college ,the mechanical faculties here are really supportive. They are always ready to provide information regarding our doubts. Recently they even conducted a session with well known scientists who have worked in VSSC. It was an interactive session where students were able to clear there doubts regarding aerospace fields. Mechanical faculty is the best.

The faculty members are well qualified, They are appointed by the government of Kerala through PSC examinations and most of them have Ph.D. too. The curriculum is designed by Kerala Technological University. The Student-faculty ratio is 1:30.
This is one of the most sought-after courses in government engineering colleges in Kerala. I opted it out of interest. A healthy student-faculty ratio exists in the college and students can always reach out to their teachers. Teachers are highly qualified and can clarify any doubts on the part of the students. Teaching is mainly via lectures and sometimes practical demonstrations of the processes and experiments are also shown. The exams are well-timed and occur every sem without any hindrances.
I choose this college because it is the best college in trivandrum for engineering after college of engineering, trivandrum (CET)and also the college is just near to my house. Here the faculty members are highly professional. Most of them are dedicated to there work. They give as opportunity to explore our potential and rectify us . In this college , I think girls and boys are about equal strength in total . But in civil branch strength of girls are higher than boys and in mechanical branch strength of boys exceed the girls. Each semester were conducted in 5-6 month gap. In between these we will get assignments, series examination ,model exams , etc.
I chose Mechanical Engineering which is a core branch in B.Tech. I love the subject. Our college is blessed with a lot of experienced and knowledgeable faculty. The faculty: student ratio is approximately 1:10.The classes here are excellent. We are able to learn the subject very effectively. The faculty is very supporting and the college provides all resources for studying purpose. The term exams are at an interval of 6 months. The exams will test us of the technical knowledge which is useful for the jobs in the mechanical field. The exams will be a little tough to pass. But we all get more and more improved in this field. I passed in all exams. Some of the students who couldn't make it through the exam are provided with supplementary exams every year.
The courses are some what tough to catch up.The faculties of Government Enginering College Thiruvananthapuram is good so that we can easily learn. The industry exposure is somewhat less.We have ADAMS branch which deals with the manufacturing and consulting of Benz which is a plus mark of the college.Maths teacher Indu mam,Kailas sir of Mechanical Engineering department are so good.
