Remarks :
The admission was by KEAM. Applicants can apply for this exam via ceekerala.gov.in and application dates come around April beginning or mid-April. An application fee of around 1000 rupees is collected. Difficulty levels are slightly lower than JEE
Course Curriculum Overview :
This is one of the most sought-after courses in government engineering colleges in Kerala. I opted it out of interest. A healthy student-faculty ratio exists in the college and students can always reach out to their teachers. Teachers are highly qualified and can clarify any doubts on the part of the students. Teaching is mainly via lectures and sometimes practical demonstrations of the processes and experiments are also shown. The exams are well-timed and occur every sem without any hindrances.
Internships Opportunities :
Almost everyone gets qualified for internships in top companies with a not so bad stipend. Projects are very much related to the branch of study and almost all branches get internship opportunities. Recently some of the students were eligible for internships at Harley Davidson and other top companies in the world
Placement Experience :
In the final year becomes eligible for campus placements and around 60-70% of students get placed in top companies. The average pay scale ranges from 3LPA to 12LPA based on knowledge and skills imbibed across the academic years. Top recruiters include the likes of MRF TCS Infosys and a lot more. Most students plan their higher education abroad or even in India. Preparators for GATE CAT and other entrance examinations also happen around here.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee hike is almost nonexistent and fees are affordable. The tuition fee comes to around 9000 rupees a year and the cost of books is almost 2000. Hostel facilities may cost you around 4500-5000 inclusive of mess fees and the living expenses are comparatively less here. Students can have easy access and updates on fees Grantz scholarships and all such facilities.
Campus Life :
An annual fest Cagney is conducted with such bliss and excitement and is one of the best techno-cultural fests taking place in the whole state. The LIbrary is well stocked with reference books and you can rely on any of your research purposes. Classrooms are pretty well equipped and teachers can use electronic means to make the students visualize better with smart classes. Other extracurricular activities happening all around the year. Apart from the poor sports facility and physics and chemistry labs, everything else sounds great. Social groups and clubs like ASME IEEE CSI IEDC are pretty much active and provide technical exposure to the students.
