Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants seeking admission to 4 years Full-time Bachelor of Engineering [BE] Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.

Academic Requirement

The candidates shall have passed the 2nd year Pre University or 12th standard or equivalent examination held preceding the entrance test with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects - Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology or Electronics. The Candidate should have secured not less than 45% of aggregate marks in optional subjects with English as one of the languages for admissions to engineering.

Note -

For engineering admission in Bangalore engineering admission in Bangalore through management quota in BMSIT & M, the minimum percentage of marks expected is 60% as per the current norms of the management.

NOTE:

1) The Total Fee of each college includes Tuition Fee + Other Fees per year. Apart from this, the following fee will be collected at college level :

a) Colleges providing special skill lab facilities may collect Rs. 10,000/-, Rs. 15,000/- and maximum of Rs. 20,000/- per student per annum, as approved by VTU, depending on the facilities provided by the institutions.

The BMSIT curriculum is industry ready which made me take this course and it has a real time machine lab and teachers involvement is very nice which helps in the interaction process with the students. areas of improvement include the time given in between the exam and conducting of 1st sem exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I took mechanical even though I knew that there were not many jobs out there for freshers in the core industry, the reason being interest in automobiles and all the theory behind them. The faculty-student ratio in our college is about 1:20(not sure about this number though). The faculty are highly qualified, most of them being PhD holders and a few are M.Tech gratuates from prestigeous colleges. While most of the teachers are good in teaching and also have an amazing depth of knowlege in their field, some are not that good in teaching. Term exams or internals happen every month for the theory subjects, and twice a semester for the Laboratories. After the competition of all the internals, the externals are conducted which is the final exams. To pass these exams is pretty easy but to score good marks, it's pretty hard.

It's based on cet seat or management seat, For cet fees ?45, 000 and for college fees it's around 22, 000, for management seat it may be lakhs, for hostel also it's more around 1 lakh. But they give good food, good wifi network, all good and clean wether.

1st year fee was around 74, 000 for all students who got admitted thourough CET quota and for the rest 3 years the fee is rupees 66, 361 per year, for students who got admitted thourough management quota have a fee around 3, 50, 000 rupees per year.

Fee is comparatively less. Around 3 to 5 lakhs per annum depending on the branch f engineering. For mechanical it was 12 lakhs during my stay. Those students having come minority can avail scholarship from the government.

Very very very very expensive. We had to struggle to repay the education loan to pay the fees. We had to pay 12000 for CET cell, college admission fee 10000, teaching fee 20000, building infrastructure fee, lab fee. Other than this hostal fee, food expenses. The list goes on. Around 50000/- per semester.
