Course Details

VGSoM IIT-KGP Ph.D. Eligibility

The institute offers a Ph.D. in Management with the following specializations:

Finance and Accounting
Marketing
Organizational Behaviour & Human Resources
Production & Operations Management
Business Analytics & Information Systems
General Management

To be eligible for admission to the Ph.D. program, the candidates must possess any one of the following qualifications:

Candidates seeking admission to the Ph.D. program must possess a postgraduate degree with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in Engineering/Science or Commerce/Management.
Or a minimum of 55% marks in Humanities or Social Science.

VGSoM IIT-KGP Ph.D. Selection Criteria

Admission will be granted on the basis of a written entrance test followed by an interview.

Exam Pattern

The exam will comprise of 3 sections:
- Quantitative Aptitude (17 marks)
- English and Verbal Ability (33 marks)
- Descriptive Section (30 marks)
The exam will be conducted for a total of 80 marks.
There will be no negative marking.

Doctoral students are admitted to VGSoM through the admissions process conducted by IIT Kharagpur. Details regarding admissions are advertised routinely in leading national newspapers and on the website of IIT.
