Infrastructure of the college buildings like institute itself and hostel
Affiliated with many government and private hospitals
Great learning experience for everyone here
Dislikes
Fees is a bit too much for a normal middle class person
Way of learning could be improved along with timings
Course Curriculum Overview:
Course curriculum is pretty decent and relevant to the topics..it is very detailed and precise covering everything one needs to succeed in their field...internships and postings give real hands on knowledge experience
The teachers here are actually passionate about teaching and not like other colleges ....the teachers actually prepare proper ppts and you can always count on them to solve your doubts and explain things if u go to them personally, the labs are best
The labs of KMC are one of the best equiped labs , and they focus on all aspects of learning from theory to practical everything
The public private partnership enables us to experience the government hospitals cases and it is so helpful in increasing our knowledge
Dislikes
The hostels aren't so good for the girls specially after the first year ... Nandagiri hostels for girls isn't too good
The fact that from second year you'll have to run all around the city due to different locations of the lab, the teaching building and hospital, you'll be running around here and tgrtr throught the day
Due to different locations of the buildingds , a lot of money is spent on travelling as the buses aren't regular and even when they come they are mostly full
Course Curriculum Overview:
I was interested in becoming a doctor and this course and college provide me with the opportunity to do that ...the teachers and the training and study we go through is essential to be a good doctor.
It definitely prepares us to be a good successful doctor in future. The clinical postings to different departments start from the second year and give us the actual hospital experience and exposure. it's difficult at first but it's necessary to be a good doctor and further, the fact that we have access to a government hospital makes it better
There are no such improvements i would like to see in the course ...i really believe it's really well managed and executed and I would like to appreciate it .
There are 3 sessionals in a year and one university exams (at the end ) of each year
amazing infrastructure with up to date medical advancements in the hospitals and labs
great exposure to medical cases due to association with multiple govt as well as private hospitals
proximity of all college premises with nearby landmarks and cozy atmosphere
Dislikes
fee hikes are coming in every year, which is unpredictable sometimes
Course Curriculum Overview:
the CBME based curriculum ensures that students focus more on practical knowledge than rote learning. there are adequate opportunities for us to interact with patients and see all sorts of medical cases, which provides a holistic opportunity to relate the theoretical knowledge with clinical scenarios.
exams are conducted very systematically and the questions are actually framed very well based on their clinical importance. Difficulty level is determined finely after adequate considerations and allows the setting of distinction between students based on performance.
Good clinic exposure because they have 2 hospitals for ugs
All the facilities are experienced and well reputed all over india
Dislikes
Only in first year there is a proper campus after that every thing is scattered
Need of a transport vechile and it's raining for live 3 mints straight
Course Curriculum Overview:
The curriculum is very good as there are simulations and we are posted in real hospitals we interact with real patients and it prepares us well for the real world and the facilities are doctors themselves
The duration of classes and distribution of subjects over all years can be improved
There is an exam every 3-4 months and difficult levels are medium
Location is so so easy to reach by every method of transport
Dislikes
College fee is the main problem out there
There is nothing outside campus all u have to do i stay in there
The first year campus is seperated from others
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course is really so relevant for real life clinical encounters and it teaches u a lott
The respect and renowned reputation of this profession made me to choose that
No improvement required
The exams are too difficult actually
I liked the faculty of kmc mangalore it has excellent staff and really helpful teachers
The campus is located in the heart of the city which makes everthing very accessible and is easy to find places to hang out nearby
The students are really competitive here so it really gives a good competition and helps us score much
Dislikes
The campus is very small and there is no as such campus life there
The curfew timings is 8 30 which is really restricting but it gets better for boys in the later months.
There are no clubs here in mangalore for clubs you’ll have to go to manipal
Placement Experience:
After completing your mbbs you are enrolled into inernship of 1 year with a stipend of 35000 per month but you have to come for all 365 without a holiday and after cometing your internship it is upto you if you want to pursue further education or practise
The things I liked about KMC Mangalore is the faculty, the research opportunities that the college provides to the students, the student support services that are available to the students, the campus culture, extracurricular activities, campus life.
Dislikes
The things I disliked about this college is the whole campus is not situated at one place the buildings are scattered everywhere in the city which makes it a little inconvenient for the students to travel. The curfew timing is there for the students.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The curriculum is comprehensive and updated. It covers all essential aspects of medical education. It is nicely crafted and various important topics are covered with a strong emphasis.
Seminars, presentations and other innovative methods of teaching are being involved in the curriculum.
the education system is really good in this college
the infrastructure of the college is very modern
the faculty is also very helpful and teach amazing
Dislikes
the campus is built over the entire city. there is no integrated campus
Course Curriculum Overview:
Mbbs is a very prestigious course. it's a very noble profession and also has a lot of career opportunities for the future including clinical practice, research, healthcare management, and medical teaching. there is also job stabilization
No integrated campus 2nd year onwards which is bad
A lot of restrictions in college and campus
Course Curriculum Overview:
The curriculum involves good clinical exposure which is extremely necessary in our course MBBS. The teaching method is done by PPT in classes. Regular seminars are done in our batch for better learning. Exams happen every 3 months and one final university exam at the end
the teaching faculty is really cooperative and helpful
the lab is clean at all times and the staff is quite effecient
the lecture halls and the dissection halls are well organised along with air conditioning
Dislikes
the campus is a little scattered as KMC is located in the city
kmc mangalore does not conduct fests and that might not be liked by many students
Course Curriculum Overview:
MBBS is a hands on course with a lot of stress, you really need to be at your toes at all times. KMC provides a good college experience as it gives you an effective work- life balance. You are going to be the future health care workers, that is relevant and helpful to the whole world.
