  • The university hosts lots of events but not many of them compare to UBC but it’s not that bad; there are many events throughout the month.
  • Like bunny yoga, mental health dog support, coffee night events during exam weeks, and many more.
  • They also host movie nights in the ground, which makes it interesting throughout the semester.

Overview

Overall experience was dissatisfying. I would blame some of it on COVID since, most of our classes in the last two semester were online and professors weren't used to it. But in terms of making memories, connections, friends it was good. But not so useful in terms of learning transferable skills to the professional world.

Campus Life

It was decent. There were a few good clubs here and there. There was WiFi at all times. The library was pretty good, with high end computers, printers etc.

The campus is absolutely stunning, with every other facility that you can think of. There is a huge library, many cafes, reading rooms, a stationery store, WiFi, a separate building for sports, a gym, etc. Other than that, they have different exciting events happening every week like movie nights, fests, creative activities, competitions, short trips, volunteering activities.

There is a wide range of co curricular activities in the Indian campus only. I don?t know much about Canadian campus. Even in the online environment we had so many co curriculars. For example, two Saturdays in a month, we have a Super Saturday kind of thing where the university invites professionals from India or from Canada or some students that have transferred to Canada for their Pep Talks. Also, we have lots of clubs like dance, music, acting, cooking, and graphics. I am currently the president of a club which is an international organization Close Master International. When we were on the campus, we had a Sports Week kind of thing where students used to participate in different sports. The university made arrangements like they booked a Football ground or Badminton Court or something. We also had Teachers vs Students match. We have a Pool Table, Carom, Chess so that students can relax during their classes. One of the biggest co curricular thing offered by the university is Company Program. So every year, the university interviews the interested students and selects one of them and forms a company. So, they decide on a product, go to investors, do the investments, develop the product, sell it and they even have their shares. There is also a Tech Gear activity especially for computer students. They work with different university professionals and develop applications, websites or some hardware stuffs as well.
