- High knowledgeable lecturers who teaches so well
- Curriculum is very good and well planned
- So much of practical knowledge by having many projects instead of just exams
Dislikes
- Classes for each course was in different building and the campus is huge and hard to walk
- Some of the lectures was bit difficult to understand in the beginning as the course was little intense and hard to catch but later with some self study it was fine
- Lecturers English accent differs by each and that was difficult in the beginning but later it was fine again
Campus Life
- It’s just in Ottawa and that’s the only campus but I got to go to Carleton university for few of my courses as it was a joint university with my university.
- We had so many sports and clubs to participate and it was a wholesome experience as there are other students from different countries across the world which gave a massive exposure and good friends
Fees
- Fees are charged per semester and it was around $8000-$9000 CAD in 2020 & 2021.
- I chose to stay on my own by renting an apartment and sharing it with 2 others.
- The rent for an individual was $350 CAD and $80 for the utilities and WiFi and the food and other expenses were around $400.
- It’s good to do part time and take care of our expenses and I did Teaching Assistant part time which helped me to manage my expenses and I got this job in my university itself

- Location of the campus. It is located in downtown which allows you to travel freely.
- Fee-structure: because of per-credit fee structure it allows student to take course as per their capacity.
- Co-ops opportunities allows a student to do an internship which will benefit them in future.
Dislikes
- Lecture time length, sometime lectures are 3 hours long.
- Lecture time, some lecture starts in evening and over at late night.
- Expensive living cost around university.
Campus Life
3 campuses, which are located close to the main campus. My university has a very good library and lots of study rooms. There are many clubs which you can join. And all the possible facilities you want are there.

Likes
- University of Ottawa is one of the highest research output universities in Canada.
- The learning is mostly practical instead of theoretical in form if assignments real life projects, including group and individual work.
- The university takes efforts to engage various programs like career fairs, networking events, hackathon etc.
Dislikes
- The university dining does not necessarily offer food that relishes your palette (especially Indian)
- Getting TA positions can be tough sometimes since there are no Scholarship options for non research based programs.
- The learning is mostly self directed and not necessarily guided by the professors as personal attention.
Campus Life
- The campus has 3 locations
- Main campus which includes Telfer
- 200 Lees Campus
- Ottawa health campus
- The campus has medical facilities only for students and it is covered for free by Uhip although it takes a long time to get an appointment. The campus also has small food joints and cafes. There are 2 gyms at the main campus, swimming, basketball, football court, ice hockey area etc.
- Panda fest is a very popular sports activity at Inter University. The university also has clubs that organise Indian festivals like Holi, Diwali and there are major celebrations like Halloween parties.
- The university has a student council for graduate students named PDI and they organise various networking events and cultural activities.
Fees
- The tuition fees are based on the number of credits. In my course, it was mandatory to complete 30 credits. Every course is 3 credits and costs around 4000 dollars so 30 credits are 40000 CAD.
- I did not opt for university accommodation but I stayed in a shared space nearby which was 500 CAD a month. A private space or room may go upto 900-1000 CAD a month
- Credit based which you pay before each semester starts upto 1000 dollars a month

The University of Ottawa is one of the top 10 universities in Canada. There are many good opportunities and also an Indian crowd so you don’t feel lonely in a foreign land.

The fees are around $13,000 a semester. For MEng, you need to make a minimum of 3 semesters.
Overview
The University of Ottawa is a really good university for Civil Engineering. My major is in structural engineering and the university is very well known for that. The course structure is really flexible. Also, there are a lot of choices in courses for structural engineering.
Overview
I chose the University of Ottawa's Bachelor of Commerce with a specialization in accounting because of the amazing Co-op program they have and I loved the feel of the university and its location. I learned about the school at the Ontario University Fair and then toured it and it totally lived up to my expectations. I only applied to two universities and got into uOttawa a week after I applied with a pretty large scholarship.
Fees
The fee structure is good, students receiving OSAP get an extended deadline to pay. There are a few fees you can opt out of. There are numerous internal scholarships available that students can apply for as well as numerous scholarships awarded to students without the need to apply for them.
