- Likes:
- Personally it met a lot of things that I wanted. Location and university criteria wise but also because it was offering a course that intrigued me,
- The multi cultural environment and various opportunities available to excel in your interested field. Western and its affiliated colleges provide various courses and programs to choose from.,
- Ensure you reserve on them before applying. Overall, the studying and effort comes from an individual, the university only provides a platform to use resources available.
- Dislikes:
- The fact that distinction between Main Campus and its affiliates is not mentioned explicitly and clearly so ensure to do enough research and apply for the one that suits your need and interest.,
- Colleges or universities don't care so social involvement aspect and balance between other responsibilities with study should be cleared before hand and one should learn to balance and prioritize things.
Overview:
It was a decent learning experience and I learnt and grew but lot of things could be better but its a learning curve and it's different for everyone.
Fees:
It changes but first year $50000 then 4th year 32000 and all the years were between this. This has changed now but its for 8 months 2 semester.
- Likes:
- Campus infrastructure, diversity of the fields. Some competitions which bring different fields together.
- Dislikes:
- There are very less number of opportunities for graduate students in terms of clubs, on-campus job. Course with no break
Overview:
As I wanted to pursue my masters in robotics field, I chose Western University. For admission purpose, I provided my transcripts, and IELTS result. My all the process has been done under the guidance of Canam, Anand branch. Campus is wonderful. It is considered as one of the best university campus. Most of the people are indigenous and Chinese. Campus is equipped with State of the art amenities and peaceful environment.
Fees:
A program fees is roughly 40,000 CAD per year (includes 3 terms). My program is 4 terms long and it does not have any breaks in between. So, it’s 16 months program without any break. All the fees are paid by myself.
Overview:
There were two strong reasons behind choosing the IVEY Business School for undergoing 1 year program in MBA which can be mentioned here :- 1) The Business School is one of its kind which deploys case learning method in every class apart from teaching from the conventional methodology. It helps you to uderstand the contemporary business world and shapes you to take the challenges ahead. 2) The strong alumni network of the Business School across Canada that would help getting desired job. I my opinion , making out for a job in Canada requires a strong alumni connection
Fees:
123,500 CAD
Overview:
I wanted to do their co-op/internship program available after 3rd year.
Fees:
Around 30,000 USD for international students for my program but this varies with course.
Overview:
I chose this university because it is well known and reputed in Canada for the course I wanted to study keeping in mind the tuition fee as well
Fees:
43000
Overview:
I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted to do in my life. Originally I wanted to be a dermatologist which would give me the freedom of any undergrad. I was originally accepted to all the universities I applied to for bio or biochem (as I loved bio). I got to thinking and knew bio was not a great degree to have if I didn't get into med school. A friend's relative is an actuary and the more she told me about it as well as when I took grade 12 calculus and fell in love with math I knew it was for me. Western was the only of the 4 schools I applied to where my major wasn't set in stone as well they offered me a 10,000 scholarship.
Fees:
I am not international so I have no idea I took out OSAP loans which are not the best since they do not even come close to covering what I'd need them to. Many students this year had to drop out because of Doug Ford's restructuring of the loans. The 10 tuition cut was just moved to the other fees category of tuition therefore no actual tuition cut.
Overview:
I opted for this college because it is well known in my area and a fantastic option for my location. My older sibling came here first. My admissions average was 85% in my top 6 university-level grade 12 courses. The admission process was easy and I only applied to western universities and affiliating colleges.
Fees:
The yearly fee for my program is $14000, I've applied to OSAP to gain the half loan and half grant. Criteria is basically a family in need of financial assistance based on the yearly income of parents. This process is fairly simple yet somewhat unfair for some students whose parents are not assisting in college tuition and who make a substantial amount of money.
Overview:
I knew this college was good because previous family members had attended it. Also, the admission process was very smooth. The school tuition fee fits my budget. Overall, I chose to attend the University of Western Ontario because I have heard outstanding feedback from alumni and I do not regret my decision.
Fees:
For international applicants, there are sports, science, math, English, and many more scholarships available to them. The tuition fee for my program was $9822 I was happy about that because it fit in my budget. I was not awarded a scholarship as I did not apply for one at the time I was applying. I did not take any loans.
Overview:
Student life, athletics, a great reputation for student life also great academic reputation in comparison to other schools in the country, also wanted to live away from home and this school was far enough for me to live on campus.
Fees:
Tuition was made of up many fees that made student life possible and easier like public transportation.

After submission of all of the forms and grades, students will have for at least 4 to 6 weeks before University contacts them. You will receive an email from the admission department as soon as your application decision is made. You can check Western University Admissions Decision for more information.
All Western undergraduate students begin their studies in the Fall semester (September). They have no Winter (January) admission for undergraduate programs.
DO YOU OFFER 100% SCHOLARSHIPS?
Unfortunately, Western University does not offer full-ride scholarships in the traditional sense, meaning scholarships that cover 100% of tuition and fees. However, check the available scholarships, benefits, and eligibility from the Western University Scholarships.
