What students say about Centennial College

Likes

  • It is full of hands-on experiences and takes you literally around the world. You learn how to work in countries like Kenya and China, and meet a lot of different people. Just great!
  • College offers internship opportunities, but as my course doesnt have them, I dont have much information about it.
  • The job placement unit on campus helps a lot in creating a good resume and finding a suitable position in the market.
  • There are a lot of facilities available, and most of them are free of cost, which includes a lot of sports.
  • I live in a shared apartment, and it costs me around $440 per month, including all the amenities. Its a spacious place with a balcony and a good environment.
  • There are certain scholarships, such as Doorway to Dollar, in our college that give around CAD $500-2000 to deserving international students.
  • The faculty at Centennial College has always been of great use to everyone who attends the college, as well as to others in the community.
  • One of the best things about choosing this college was that it offered the course I was interested in.

Dislike

  • For example, Global Citizenship was a very boring class that everyone was required to take, not to mention it was really hard.
  • The gym and library are the ones which are included in the fees. There were a few events, but when you are struggling between studies and jobs, you hardly get any time to attend.
  • Every expense, to the last penny, was paid off by myself through a part-time job, as well as having efficient money management skills

I chose this college as it has a good name and power, and Centennial is one of the first community colleges in Ontario.

No I have not submitted any of the mentioned documents. Centennial College's well-qualified and experienced teachers, great laboratory facilities, exceptional Co-operative Education programs, and the inspiration provided to students will provide me with an appropriate foundation for achieving my goals.

No didn’t have to submit anything just my bachelors results were submitted. Reason for choosing this college: The program of my choosing and allowing to come ASAP they also had prompt replies. I would say its okay but would suggest some other cllg that has better placement options and less fees. I would also recommend going for university or to a RNIP program if you want your PR. They are more focused on extracurricular activities than on studies and so its okay if you don’t have other options but this should probably be your second choice

My experience at college was multifaceted and rewarding. The educational environment offered a blend of theoretical learning and practical exposure through labs and industrial tours, fostering holistic growth. Despite the pandemic's impact, the available facilities like the library, gym, and engaging student programs contributed significantly to my overall development, making it a memorable phase.

  • Schedule can be done a bit better. There is not much that is needed to be improved in Centennial because I like the courses as well. They are well described and detailed. The campus is very good and spacious. Centennial is one of the best.

For me the rent was in range of 400-550 for sharing rooms. Single rooms cost around 750 or more.

It was just fine I believe mostly due to work pressure and shortage of jobs in the market although it is part time so better work that out and college was ok.

My overall experience so far has been very well. It is your own responsibility to exploit all the resources available at your disposal for your academic and professional success. You have to reach out yourself to make connections which is the most vital part of your success in Canada.

My experience is really wonderful because it has a great infrastructure with all the basic things you may need with all the hygiene and cleanliness and the campus is really good with a really nice marketplace to have lunch and enjoy time with friends.

I would say a complete wastage of money and resources if you want to build a career out of one course. These courses can be helpful if you have extra money to learn something just for the sake of obtaining knowledge( that too by doing assignments) or getting a post graduation work permit.
