What students say about Sheridan College

Likes

  • I had the best professors for my course, and I am very satisfied with their services and teaching methods.
  • Although I havent been selected, I am still trying my best to secure on-campus jobs for them due to the high level of competition.
  • The course is job-oriented, and the college provides on-campus job interviews and placements for various programs available in the college.
  • The reason I have selected the HMC campus is that the structure of this campus is architecturally great, and the design and facilities here are so useful for all the students.
  • I stayed off campus because the college residence was full and the living expenses were costly.
  • The total fees for the first semester are around $9000, which include everything such as health insurance, campus charges, student ID card money. This helps you to utilize the facilities on campus and have a better experience here.
  • They know a lot about the industry and serve as great teachers of what to expect from it.
  • Because it is known for its animation program and is a highly competitive program to get into, I have heard very good things about it.

Dislike

  • There was no financial aid or scholarship available and I had to use my own money to pay for college fees.
  • The situation is very poor - there is hardly any good campus life - I wouldnt recommend staying in the college - its depressing

Overview:

I went to the Sheridan Hazel Mccallion campus in Mississauga. I was enrolled in the business administration-Human Resources program which was a two-year diploma program. During my time at Sheridan, I was guided by the career center for any career-related interests and resumes. There’s an international center that assured students of any concerns that international students may have. There are several groups where you can volunteer to gain some experience in event management, social work, and many other communities. It is a small campus but very accessible. I personally loved studying at the campus. There were study rooms and individual spaces to study. I spent most of my time at school during my time at Sheridan. When you are at Sheridan, all you have to do is to ask or reach out to those available resources and they will provide you guidance and make your life much easier. It was located in the city where I wanted to be and the college had good reviews and was known for business programs. I did my research online and also reached out to the international center before I could get admitted.

Fees:

Studying in Canada is a bit on the expensive side. I paid around $35000 for my four semesters excluding miscellaneous expenses. The only thing I regret not doing is that I did not find the right program for the same fee structure at a university.

Ques. Which college is the best among Humber, Conestoga, Sheridan, George Brown or Centennial?

Ans. My brother studies at Centennial, and he quite likes his college. Sheridan is known for its strictness. But it has a good placement record, and so does Centennial. According to him, Humber and George Brown are average colleges. He does not know much about Conestoga College. In the end, your choice of college should depend on your course. Each one of these colleges is best known for one or the other program. You must choose accordingly.Read more
