What students say about Drexel University
Likes
- I am quite satisfied with the course syllabus, and the best part is that we are required to take up several electives in different departments and are given the freedom to choose our own general electives to explore around.
- Yes, I worked for an engineering lab called Greenhat People in Barcelona, Spain, Medit in Dublin, Ireland, and GSK in Philadelphia.
- Moreover, since students have three co-ops on their resume, they have a high chance of getting into one of the best companies.
- I was automatically considered for a merit scholarship and the Founders scholarship, worth $5,700 per quarter, which amounts to $22,800 for the year.
- The university has its own gym, and students can participate in almost any sport they want.
- The room where I live is okay for a single person, and it is near the campus.
- For quarters when you are enrolled part-time (such as summer during an internship or the last quarter when you mostly have 3/6 credits left or any number of credits below 9), the cost is $140.
- My MIS professor is super friendly, witty, and has the best case studies and use case scenarios for IT and Analytics alignment in businesses.
- LeBow, in particular, has a great alumni network, and the careers team here is exceptionally nice and helpful.

- I like the CO-OP opportunity at Drexel University. It will give me industrial experience along with academics.
- Dislikes:
- I dislike the quarter pattern in my university. It makes my studies hectic. I literally have exams every month!
Overview:
I chose this university for the CO-OP opportunity, speciality in the Pharmaceutical industry. The university helped me to develop my resume, LinkedIn profile, etc.
Fees:
Around 60 lakhs
- Likes:
- The campus is located in the city so you get to experience true city life while also getting a campus.,
- Lot of accommodation options and also really affordable as compared to other cities.,
- Lot of food options, especially international food.,
- You get to experience city sports, like the love for the Eagles, the 76ers, the Phillies.,
- The co-op system and the quarter system
- Dislikes:
- The academics could be better.,
- It lacks community because we don't have a lot of focus on sports, so the college doesn't get a chance to come together and celebrate Drexel.
Overview:
I picked this over any other college because of its city-integrated campus. It also had business analytics as an option for a STEM degree, even though it was a co-major, so only 24 extra credits. Also liked their co-op system where you get to intern full-time with big companies, almost promising a return offer in the future.
Fees:
60000
- Likes:
- Campus is pretty diverse and students are always onto something haha,
- Faculty is helpful and good at what they do. Teaching is v important and I found it to be top tier,
- Co-op program is easily the BEST in the country. I highly recommend opting for the 5 year 3 coop option
- Dislikes:
- I wish there were more activities outside of regular university co curriculars. Would have loved to explore more,
- More social events where I could network more. Maybe I needed to sign up for more so I guess more marketing of those events?,
- Post Graduation resources are a little scarce. Wish I could stay in contact more
Overview:
I had taken the SATs and applied for Drexel University alongside 4 other universities (Texas A&M, NYU, Purdue, and Penn State). I got in all the above listed and got deferred in NYU. The application process specifically for Drexel was pretty straightforward. I had to submit my SAT score, write 2 essays, and fill out the application form, and financial aid form. I had applied early decision.
Fees:
Western Union was used as a medium to pay course fees usually via a check. It was pretty straightforward forward and the fee could also have been paid in person to the Cashier department in the Main Building I received a 100% scholarship for a 5 year 3 co-op program Other expenses include books, housing, food, and travel which comes to about 20-25lakhs INR in total
Overview:
Course Curriculum, Alumni Network. LeBow in particular has a great alumni network and the careers team here is exceptionally nice and helpful.
Fees:
The fee calculation is per credit. For LeBow College of Business, it is $1139 per credit. You also pay an enrollment fee each quarter. If you are enrolled full-time for a particular quarter(full-time would mean 9 credits or more) it is $280. For quarters where you are enrolled part-time (like summer during internship or last quarter where you mostly have 3/6 credits left or any number of credits below 9), it is $140. So the fee for the full-time quarter with 9 credits is calculated as - (1139*9)+280= 10,531. The scholarship amount is awarded based on the number of credits you take in each quarter. It is evenly distributed according to it.
Overview:
They're a private school, specializing in co-ops, and are among the best in the country with connections to Fortune 500 companies. Students are able to gain 2 years of experience even before graduation.
Fees:
$75,000 is the program fee.
Overview:
I chose Drexel for the co-op program and also because I planned to transfer before I started and my counselor told me a private school would be easier to transfer from.
Fees:
Approximately $70,000 per year so a total of around $280,000.
Overview:
I chose Drexel University mainly because of its co-op program. I also chose it because of the wide range of options in majors and minors, which allowed me to explore different programs that the university offered.
Fees:
The total tuition fee of my program is the US $134,743.
Overview:
The Drexel Co-op program gave internship experience prior to receiving my degree. At the time I went, not a lot of colleges offered this, so it was a great incentive. It was also located in a pretty major city that allowed for a metropolitan experience.
Fees:
Previously they were an annual tuition institution but they now offer a quarterly billing structure. You are not billed during your co-op cycle.
Overview:
The co-op program! Our co-op program is world class. Students get placed into top 500 companies and get paid well. They can also work anywhere in the domestic United States or internationally. You work for 6 months full time instead of going to classes.
Fees:
Drexel is a private institution. The tuition is the same for everyone.
