Placement:

Every quarter Drexel University conducts a career fair. Companies visit and give information about internships and placement. We get the chance to network with people from different companies/ industries.

I chose this university for the CO-OP opportunity, speciality in the Pharmaceutical industry. The university helped me to develop my resume, LinkedIn profile, etc.

Placement:

It varies depending on the major that you pick, if you're in the medical field in Philly, you've hit the jackpot. The city is filled with med school students, and Philly is known for its healthcare, and hospital infrastructure. Because of the co-op program, you get to have an in with companies, all my friends got placed in big companies: Apple, Microsoft, JP Morgan, BlackRock etc. I didn't do the co-op system so I am still applying for full-time roles. I would say the median salary is between 70k-150k depending on what you pursue.

I picked this over any other college because of its city-integrated campus. It also had business analytics as an option for a STEM degree, even though it was a co-major, so only 24 extra credits. Also liked their co-op system where you get to intern full-time with big companies, almost promising a return offer in the future.

Placement:

There are multiple employers that come on campus and on co-op websites which you can really make use of. Goldman, big four, wall street etc etc linked in and college resources will be your best friends looking for employers. Attend networking events for sure! The average package can be anywhere from $70-90k

Internship:

Placement:

Due to covid, research funding was limited this year. Else usually there are various research opportunities at Drexel. The pay varies from $10-20/per hour depending upon the work and professor. The university keeps conducting various networking events and many industries participate in them. Apart from university-wide career fairs, LeBow conducts its own networking events, and practice interviews with industry leaders who willingly take mock interviews of students and provide detailed feedback. The alumni help you a lot with placements if they have any openings in their companies.

Internship:

I personally worked in India as campus housing was shut down due to covid. But The process for an internship is to apply online or find one using your contacts or during college networking events. You need to apply for a CPT only then you can work. If the internship is unpaid- SSN is not required else you need to make SSN. The international student and scholar services at Drexel (ISSS) will provide all the help you need for this process.

Placement:

Our placements are much higher than most universities and this is because of the cooperative experience. We have been able to build our relationships with various companies, gaining 2 years of experience before we graduate. There is a 90% chance that you will have a job before graduation because you are already trained in this field.

Internship:

yes, many I worked for an engineering lab, Greenhat People in Barcelona - Spain, Medit in Dublin - Ireland, and GSK in Philadelphia.

Placement:

They are very good because of the co-op program. A lot of students get offered full-time jobs by their co-op employers.

I got a co-op at SIG (Susquehanna International Group) through Drexel's own co-op program but, it was canceled before starting due to covid-19.

Placement:

Our university is really good with alumni networking for co-op opportunities and post-study placement. There are career fairs every quarter and companies like J&J visit our university for seminars.

Internship:

My university does include a coop program, but I haven't done my co-op program yet.

The Drexel Co-op program gave internship experience prior to receiving my degree. At the time I went, not a lot of colleges offered this, so it was a great incentive. It was also located in a pretty major city that allowed for a metropolitan experience.

Placement:

There are tons of opportunities for students all over the country and all over the globe. Students can choose from domestic and international co-op opportunities with famous companies such as Microsoft, Google, and Goldman Sachs.

Internship:

Yes, the co-op program! This is a 6-month full time paid internship. I am on my first one with one of the largest hospitals in the country, Jefferson health as an IT analyst. It's absolutely crazy to have no experience and jump into this well-paid position.
