The mission of the Department of Agronomy is to generate, integrate, and apply knowledge about crop plants that are grown for food, feed, and the general benefit of humankind. We find and disseminate answers to problems and discover opportunities concerning efficiency and sustainability of production, improvements in quality, and methods for safe and environmentally-sound practices.

All admitted doctoral students receive a fellowship that covers the cost of tuition and health insurance, and provides a stipend.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicant must have completed masters degree in a closely related field from an accredited university
- Submit official transcripts of all previous education completed
- Submit a writing sample of gradaute level thesis or equivalent
- Submit three letters of recommendation
- Submit CV
- Submit a statement of purpose
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
