Things that I like about Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU) is the relationship and bond that teachers and students share.
The peace and harmonious environment of the university is the thing I like most about MLCU.

Dislikes

Due to huge campus, you will have to walk a lot

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course which I'm currently pursuing is my passion and my calling. This course shapes all aspects of my life as person and inevitably it directs my path to the best of my life and future. Every day class is an opportunity to learn new things and insight each other and there is no remorse of pursuing this course. Our faculties are well qualified and experienced and approachable in time of our problems and difficulty. Therefore, I don't think that there is a need for improvement in particular because every day is a chance to improvement and renovation for us.

I liked the way of teaching with no exams based because it’s not only about learning by heart but to actually learn.
We have more combined classes which is good because we could interact with different departments.

Dislikes

Too much assignments and test at once which can be quite pressuring

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course it's good. We get to learn more in a practical way which really helped us in being more into our course and subject. Internship after specific classes also is good because we get to experience a little bit of adult working life, which can help us later. But the timing for an internship is way too long. max 6 months is enough.

The course that I have chosen. It is different from the rest and it has made a good impression for my future.
The availability of libraries, canteens, lounge for students to visit and work is another aspect that I liked.

Dislikes

The routine or schedule of classes is an area to work on

In terms of relavence, the course is detailed and specific to the subject that I specialised. All the important aspects and information regarding the course have always been covered and the highlight of the course is the practicality of it where through internships and field work, students are able to get the real life experience of what the working world is about with the guidance and support of some of the faculty.

Likes

I like the faculties. They are always ready to help us. Their teaching is also clear and understandable. I also like the Aurora and the Convocation the way it used to be hosted and organized.
I also like the fact that there’s an active Student Council, Deans and Influencer which indeed makes the University more lively and interesting.

Dislikes

Honestly, I would like if the University has more open campus.
That there is two campus. No grab and Umsauli. We did it get to see and know each other as we are in different campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

First, I was interested in my course i,e Counselling psychology since my class X. I took up psychology in my XI and XII but as my State Manipur does not offer Psychology that time, I couldn't continue in my bachelor. So, I ended up taking English. Even during those, whenever psychology things pop up in a paper or media, it drews my full attention to it. That interest makes me got letter marks in my class XII as well. The first reason I took up this course was, because I want to help people. Seeing lots of generational trauma that affects the up coming children, mental well being of people makes me want to change the world. I got a whole lot of sympathy and burden in my heart. Secondly, I want to know myself more. Taking this course makes more aware of myself, how to stand up for myself, understand people more. I did not regret taking this course. I'm fully content about my decision.

People are good here and friendly to each other.
The campus has almost all the department.

Some department look down on each others department.
The campus has no proper to seat around .

I chose doing my masters in psychology here because more convenient not far from my hometown and this course or curriculum prepares me to face my own difficulties as well as to help or ro be there for people who face such difficulties.

A literal tour to the university life.

The course papers available for the students.
The campus life. The faculty have pretty much made the environment as such that the students and faculty have a very good relationship with each other.

Dislikes

The infrastructure. Sometimes when the entire university students have to gather the campus becomes a little too suffocating due to the lack of space and accommodation.
Due to covid situation, my batch could not really get to experience the external life of the university which can be seen as a set back in our relationship of students-student life.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The courses were designed in such a way as to train us thoroughly for the field. I chose this course since my career options are all about engaging with the people in the field firsthand. The faculty are all very highly qualified and their teaching methods are all very practical and they are very thorough with what they have on their plate. There are no such thing as exams but they mostly focus on what we have actually learned throughout our class with requirements of reflection papers after every class and rigorous presentations on the papers.

Admission:

The admission are done on the basis of marks obtained in the bachelor degree or equivalent examination. The students after first shortlisted on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Then the students are finally selected on the basis of bachelor degree marks.
