I have a friend at IIIT Pune. I only heard good things about the institute from him. Here are some facts about IT at PICT and CSE at IIIT-Pune, which may help you to decide. Teachers: All of the faculties of IIIT-Pune are Ph.D. holders from institutes like IIT KGP, NITs, and foreign universities. Most of the faculties of PICT are M.Tech or still pursuing their PhDs. Crowd: Instead of going home during vacations, students attend Android and Web development workshops. Faculties encourage students to take up projects and internships from the first semester. Degree: Students get B.Tech in IIIT-Pune as compared to a B.E. at PICT. IIIT-Pune's curriculum doesn't include subjects like Civil, Engineering Drawing, Mechanics, Mechanical, Chemistry which are of no use in the course of CSE. Institute of National Importance: IIIT-Pune is like all the IITs, NITs, IIITs which is an Institute of National Importance( INI) which leads to a lot of Government funds and monetary support. Students who did their 12th from the MP board or others can receive a full tuition fee waiver for 4 years of their B. Tech since IIIT Pune is an INI. Sports and Clubs: Any student can start a club of their own if they have a passion for something at IIIT-Pune. IIIT- Pune bagged 5 medals in IIT- BHU’s Annual Sports Fest Spardha and continues to receive honors in other sports events as well. The total fees for 2024-28 batch for 1st year is Rs 2,78,750.It includes 25,000 development fee,1000 of medical aid, 8000 laboratory, 7000 library fees, 6700 computer training and internet fees, examination fee 1500, gathering and youth festival fee 1500 and alumni association fee 2000. For all four years the fees is almost same. There is no fee wavery for any category.But one can apply for any other government or private scholarships

Mysterious IIIT Pune

Academic fee for a even semester is 90000 ruppees . Academic fee for odd semester is around 110000 rupees . Mess fee for a semester is 18750 ruppees . Hostel fee for two semesters is 60000 ruppees and scholarships are available on for students who's state government provide it

There are not electives for each semester, so you have to study according to the curriculum

Tuition fee increase is not that much. The complete cost of my education is average compared to other institutions of the same level. Scholarships are there for the financially weak, i am not sure about the names.

In IIIt's generally the cost is very high in comparison to NIT's and also job opprchunities also high in nit but in iiit the coding culture is good, any way you can apply scholarship with your respective catagory. The fee for students of general category is around 227000.

the fee is around 14.4 lakh for 4 years course. the college help and assist you with getting scholarship. although there is no campuse scholarship available. the campuse jobs are not available much.

In general fees in iiit is quite high as compared to nits and also hikes are also pretty high in our year hostel fees are around 43000 last year but this year it came to 66000 they will provide nsp scholarship for us in that we will get back our tution fees.there is no scholarship scheme for open and obc students

Fees in IIITs are quite high like in this college also the same case. The fee here is 3.7lakh per annum including hostel and mess . It is high due to campus devolopment fee and some other fee.There are not any scholarships provided by the college (except for SC/ST).

The fess can increase upto 10-15 percentage maximum in a year . although the college fees has not increased like this till now Scholarship is an issue for middle class people as only people below 5lakh (in Maharashtra) get scholarship financial assistance is good SBI helps actively in it
