The placement process starts from the 7th semester. The placements in the college during the recession period were not very good for core as well. Most of the students from my department are unplaced. A lot of us are going for higher education. Just to make the numbers look good, the Placement Officer is bringing any and every company. None of us are placed in core jobs. One person bagged a software job, a few got into institutes like Allen. During the non recession period, most of the seniors got placed well. For students who choose to sit for software jobs from the core departments, well there are a good share of companies which are open for core branches as well. Develop good projects and you will be mostly able to get a software job. Coming to internships, the internship season starts from 5th semester. Good number of companies come for internships. Expect low to no stipend in core and a you are good to go when it comes to core internships.
We are required to participate in placements based on our interests. Participation in placement activities, however, is subject to CGPA standards. Every year, a large number of firms with varied profiles, such as Amazon, TCS, Infosys, and many others with the same high credibility, visit the college campus. However, the number of pupils that can be chosen will always be limited. The average pay package for the first class was around 14 LPA, which is a very fantastic showing for a newly created college.
I am interested in this course and I choose this institute because of our director who is one of the top civil engineers in india. And IIT is well known and very big institute in india, it is so popular and well known by every one
Negative is that as a new institute there are lot of scope of improvement and positive part is because of new institute the student-faculty ratio is very less. You will get proper time and attention from your professors. Can avail New and latest technologies.
