Eligibility Criteria

For GATE-qualified candidates

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology in a suitable discipline as in the above table from Educational Institutions approved by AICTE/ Government.
Candidates must have qualified in GATE 2023, 2022, or 2021 in a suitable GATE paper as in the above table
Candidates yet to appear or have appeared in the final examination for the qualifying degree specified as specified above and who are likely to complete the requirements for qualifying degree in July 2023.

For IIT Graduates

Candidates with a B.Tech degree from IITs who satisfy the following conditions can apply without a valid GATE score.

Candidates graduating/ graduated from IITs with B.Tech. degree in a suitable discipline as in the above table.
Candidates must have a CGPA of 8.0 (7.5 for SC/ST) and above in the B.Tech. degree

Course Details

The fee mentioned above includes the following hostel fees:

Hostel Allotment Fee : Rs 250
Hostel Seat Rent: Rs 7,000
Hostel Caution Deposit: Rs 3,000
Electricity, Water & SWD charges : Rs 800
Advance Dining Charges: Rs 26,680

The M.Tech CSE placement statistics for 2023 were quite good.

A total of 49 students had registered for placements. Out of all those students, 43 students were able to secure placements.
The highest package offered was INR 25 LPA and the lowest package offered was INR 10 LPA.
The average package was INR 15.4 LPA. In 2023, all the M.tech students who registered from the CSE branch got placed with an average CTC of INR 16 LPA.
The M.Tech CSE department of IIT Tirupati has a good record of 90 percent placement, with students securing high packages at top companies.

As for IIT Tirupati, even though it started its M.Tech intake only a few years ago, it offers decent placements for M.Tech CSE. During 2022, the M.Tech CSE branch of IIT Tirupati recorded an average package of 16 LPA. Moreover, all 8 registered students were successfully placed from the campus. IIT Tirupati carries the prestigious ‘IIT tag’ which will be beneficial for your placement. But most importantly, your skillset will get you placed.

If your rank is not that good and you aren’t sure about IIT Tirupati, you can try for IIT Dhanbad, BHU or Guwahati in the spot rounds. You can even try for admission into a good NIT.
