IIIT UnaBTech 2024: Cutoff, Fees, Placement, Admission

IIIT Una BTech Admission 2024 is expected to start in June- July 2024, based on the JEE Mains score. The applications for JEE Mains (Session II) are open. The last date to register for the same is March 2, 2024. JEE Mains (Session II) examinations will be conducted from April 1 to April 15, 2024. The results will be announced on April 25, 2024.

IIIT Una offers a BTech program at the UG level for a duration of 4 years. This program is offered under 3 different disciplines namely Computer Science Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Information Technology. Admission is completely based on the JEE Mains rank followed by the JoSAA counselling. In 2023, the cutoff for this program ranged from 23017-47793 rank for the general admission.

BTech at IIIT Una is divided into 8 semesters and each semesters have electivess, and online courses. Candidates will be required to earn a total of 153 credits for IT, and ECE and 156 credits for CSE. During the final year, candidates are prepared for their placements. IIIT Una BTech Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to apply for the course, applicants must have:

Completed class 12 from a recognized board.
Studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
Scored 75% and above in their class 12 board exams.
Qualified JEE Main.

IIIT Una BTech Admission 2024

Admission to BTech courses at IIIT Una is given on the basis of JEE Main scores and ranks. Candidates have to appear for the counselling round which is conducted by JoSAA. After all the rounds of JoSAA (rounds 1-6) are out, CSAB counselling takes place. CSAB releases 2 special rounds of seat allotment for IIIT Una BTech admissions 2024.

Applicants need to fill out the JEE Main application through the NTA official website.
After the entrance is conducted, the college will release its cut-off.
Applicants will be admitted based on their ranks and if their marks match the college cut-off.
Applicants have to undergo counseling through JoSAA Counselling after they qualify for JEE Main 2024.

Location is good for exploring himachal pradesh. Nearby we can find good tourist spots.
Una is a decent place with quite atmosphere.

Dislikes

Placements are not upto the mark. They need to be better.
Faculty give grades on how they know the students. Many faculty are seen doing this.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good. However, it can be much better. The 8th semester is completely dedicated to internship. However, CSE, starts with coding in the second semester, which is late according to most of the students. The rest of the first and second semesters have basic sciences courses. Core subject courses start from the third semester. 75% of attendance criteria are strictly followed. 2 mid-term exams are there along with 1 end sem. Weightage: 20+20+40+20.

IIIT Una, The best college under 30k rank for Engineering

Clubs( we have around 10-12 clubs and they organise at least an event every weekend)
Sports facilities are exceptional ( only con is no specific coaches,we have a pti)

Not much connectivity to the city, campus is 8km away from main city and the Una city is also not much developed, there arent many clubs or dj's, only a few that too 20 km away from the college
Very strict attendance policy, all medical leaves, family functions, personal absents etc are to be included under the 25% criteria. Though you are to be complete your left out classes after end sems, it does feel kinda hectic

I chose this course bcuz of the rapidly growing demand of ai and computer related technologies in today's workforce. Talking about the student to faculty ratio, its around 15:1 and most of the faculties are phd holders, leaving aside a few all the teachers have great teaching skills and actually have the desires and commitment to transfer their knowledge to the students, exams are also conducted approximately every 2 months, they are as followed, ut, ct, end sems, the ut and ct are of 8 and 20 marks so they are not that stressfull, u can score more than average ny studying the night before.

Course curriculum is fine. Not much subjects which are unrelated to your career except in first year. Faculty are mostly young . Ratio is 1:13. Exams are conducted 3 times a semester CT 1,2 and end sem.

I like the behavior of the faculty members and the staff and the guards. They all are very understanding to us.
We have a certified schedule for the mass timing when we have to eat breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner.

The student-to-teacher ratio stands at approximately 15:1, with a majority of teachers holding Ph.D. degrees. The faculty is supportive and proficient. IIIT Una also invites faculty for different guest lectures. The curriculum is well-designed and relevant, which makes us industry-ready. The college exams are a bit difficult, but it is easy to pass due to the average system used. The evaluation of exams is based on relative grading system which is awesome. The calendar for the academic year is always fixed and college exams include CT1, CT2 (20 marks each) and end semester examination of 100 marks.

All You Have To Know About IIITUNA

The Food quality is very good in the hostels . Although everyone complains about the food in collages but its food is good.
The placements are really good in the newly established campus.

The collage campus is preety inside a village and is not around towns.
Not a great place to rome around and enjoy. because it is situated in a small village side area.

My first preference was computer science but i didnot grt that much rank so i got ECE branch but i am happy with it as it helped me learned many new things. Faculty is quite well educated and done phd from reputed nits and iits. the student ratio is poor though. Boys : Girls ratio is 11:1. The exams are well conducted and we have relative grading system. So passing is easy but to get good cgpa is hard

Has good faculty who have completed PhD and mtech from iit and nit

You can not go outside after 10:00 pm in night
There is seventy five percent attendance compulsory

Initially in electronics and communication engineering,there is five subjects as math, evc, ecc electrical circuit analysis, English communication, physics and faculty also provides lab demo as well as there is extra activity included by college as practicum in which we look electronic devices inside and study about that.

All About IIIT UNA, Himachal Pradesh

Infrastructure is preety good with proper tracks for walking and well furnished hostel facility
Coding culture is amazing. It also includes various coding events and workshops

It is situated outside the town UNA which often cause trouble to explore certain things
The campus life is a little bit strict and you have to maintain discipline everywhere in the campus

I have a keen interest in computer programming so I chose this course in this college instead of other NITs. Here the faculty-student ratio id pretty good It's approximately 15:1. All the Faculty are PHD holders.They are young and have a passion for teaching.There are 2 CT exams which constitute the mid sem and one end sem also occurs. You have to study daily. There is regular assignment and projects given to students
