Each curriculum is designed in way like, you will find basic to advanced topics in each course. There are labs in most of the course will will make you ready for real world application. There are three exam of each course 2 minor and 1 major. You can expect 3 quizzes also before exams but number of quizzes depends on professor they can decrease or increase number of quizzes also.

The course curriculum is very relevant to me as I wanted to learn more about mechanical systems in the upcoming years the rise of electric vehicles and the use of artificial intelligence in mechanical systems will increase, so this influenced me to take this course. The overall curriculum of this course is good but it can be improved by increasing the focus on the practical part rather than more emphasizement on theory and even the number of exams should also be reduced, rather evaluation should be done on the basis of a real-life project.

Because of the guidance you get from your peers as well as counsellors in your coaching institutes, you avail of the courses and decide your preference. There was no personal choice of mine to select this course only. It was about 1:15 They were PhDs from foreign universities mostly. Yes, term exams were conducted thrice a semester and it was not that difficult to pass, but it was difficult to score good grades.

I choose this course because I was interested in that field and also keen to learn new things. The ratio of faculty and students was 4:1 which is quiet good. The professors were quite well qualified and had good knowledge plus teaching methods. There were 2 mid-semester and 1 end-semester exam. Exams were moderate to difficult.
I took this course because I am little bit machine savvy so I took mechanical engineering. At IIT Jodhpur faculty-student ratio is 1:10. The minimum qualification of IIT Professors is P.hd, and the teaching method is very excellent and decent. I would like to give 9.5 out of 10 of their teaching method. Term exams happen in two months of the interval of time. And to pass the exam is quite difficult.
The course curriculum is vast and requires a lot of revision and hardwork to score well in the examination. The difficulty level of the biweekly quizzes taken is harder than the terminal exam. The mechanical engineering course curriculum includes topics like Engineering materials, linear algebra and calculus, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics coma mechatronics, mechanics of solid, manufacturing technology, kinematics of mechanism and machine, heat and mass transfer, dynamics of machines and mechanism, machine science, metrology, refrigeration and air conditioning, mechatronics, design and machine elements, industrial engineering, and elective subjects like writing a newspaper column and other electives like management economics and soft skills. The faculty-student ratio is 8:1.
One of the best things about IIT Jodhpur is its flexible course curriculum. Even the core technical branches like Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, etc. are taught important subjects like Machine Learning and, Data Structures and Algorithm. This helps students to expand their knowledge and creativity. The student-faculty ratio is 1: 60 which is pretty good. There are Teaching assistants apart from professors who help resolve subject-related queries. The faculties here are graduates from highly respected colleges of the world.
My Course is mechanical and the teacher-student ratio is 10 :120 Highly Qualified teachers like iit Delhi, iit rudki, and Highly experienced Faculty team. Exam terms something hard but some topic simple discussion some group and teacher solve the problems.
Placements are average on campus. Compared to other IITs not that good.big companies like micro, Amazon, codenation come for campus placements. Mechanical placements not that good though, core placements not that good with avg.around 8-9 ctc
For a General/OBC(creamy layer) student with family income greater than 6 lpa, the tuition fee would be 1 lakh per semester. If the family income is less than 6lpa, then one can apply for merit cum means scholarship which covers almost 60% of the tuition fee. For students with category as OBC - NCL, SC, ST, tuition fee is waived off. My first Internship was at IIT Indore where I was given a stipend of 5k. During my pre-final year, I interned at GE Power and the stipend there was 30k per month. Currently I am employed at Maruti Suzuki(I cannot disclose my salary as per company policy)
Both IIT Mandi Patna and IIT Jodhpur are well-respected institutions for mechanical engineering. However, it ultimately depends on which one aligns better with your personal preferences and career goals.
IIT Mandi Patna has a strong focus on research in the areas of energy, materials, and manufacturing, whereas IIT Jodhpur has a wider approach to mechanical engineering and has ties with many leading companies across the globe.
Personally, I am more in favor of IIT Jodhpur. I have a few pieces of information regarding IIT Jodhpur Mechanical Engineering.
Ultimately, I can only guide you and it’s you who has to make the decision. It's best to do your own research and visit the campuses to get a feel for the culture and atmosphere of each institution. This can help you make a more informed decision about which is the best fit for you.
It depends on what it is that you want as both are different subjects. It depends on your preference. According to my cousin who studied CSE at MNIT, if you want a challenging job and you are aiming for PSUs, then mechanical engineering may be good. But the placements of mechanical even in top colleges like IITs will be lower than their CSE counterparts.

Mechanical engineering is going to be tougher even at IITs to secure a job. However, with some struggle, hard work, and years of experience, you may land a PSU job. However, CSE is not easy but getting an initial start to your career is easier in this branch with a good starting salary.
Pick the one which suits you better according to your career choice and the career progression you want after some years.
