Overall, I can say it is an average college which is average on each and every aspect whether It is studies, job placements, Competition, fees, etc. But still as it's my college so I love my college very much
Reputed college with students from all over the country. Provides an environment to grow and learn. Also all the major companies including companies like amazon, microsoft visit the campus. The majority of students gets placed. If you want to learn more visit www.unsaidtalks.com
Good reputation among private one's. Good placement record. Good facilities. Also couldn't get into a good government one so this one was the best option. And didn't want to drop a year.
The college has strong industry alignments and is well known for it's engineering programs. The college provides with a perfect mix of skill set and offers a well implemented curriculum for its students.
This was the best college I could have got for the marks I scored in Jee mains. Wanted to get admitted in a good college near my hometown, also had heard about its placement records, infrastructure, environment and other things.
I am an NRI residing in KSA. I had to fill an online form made for NRI/Gulf people then after a month of form approved, we are sent an admission letter and if we fulfill the criteria in that letter we get the admission approved and during the orientations we pay our fees and get the admission.
It's a good college that provides the students every opportunity to grow but the college thinks of students as a money minting machine and is quite expensive The college is increasing its strength of students every year and there's not going to be enough facilities for everyone
Very Good atmosphere in terms of hostel. But academic is not so good.People are mostly from Punjab due to reservation. So competition here is not so very high. The best thing about Thapar is society.Due to society the interaction with seniors increases which is very helpful.
The main bad remark is the gradual hike in the tuition fee every year. And secondly some of the buildings are very old.
Thapar University has a brand name, however, the ground reality for this university is not very pleasant and it is swiftly losing the qualities that defined it in its glorious past. The rankings of students enrolled in the university are going down each year. The administration is taking serious measures against the same, however, because of these measures the other students are suffering. One example is the strict entry and exit timings.
Academically, your experience in this institution will differ according to your branch. The CSE branch has a cooperative faculty and lenient attendance criteria. This is not the case for other branches. In other branches, some faculty members may hold personal grudges against you while some may fail you for missing the required attendance mark (75%) by as small as 0.1%. The mess is below average and the classrooms are not very impressive. The administration is very slow.
However, there are positive points about Thapar University as well. The alumni from Thapar are placed in some of the best companies in India and abroad. It has some of the best synthetic courts in any engineering college in India. There are many teachers at Thapar University who serve as a source of inspiration to their students. Sports facilities for all the major sports are great. Placements at Thapar University are great and the labs are well updated. Even though Thapar is facing a drug problem, its teachers and administration are very active in trying to solve this issue.
Thus, even though Thapar University has outlived its glorious days, it has some positive points too. It is completely your choice whether or not you wish to take admission into it.
Thapar University offers a good MCA program. The institute has a brilliant MCA faculty base. It offers good learning resources, and laboratory facilities to meet the requirement of students.
Thapar University placement highlights show the average CTC offered to MCA students is around INR 7 LPA. While the highest CTC offered is around INR 8 LPA. TCS, Infosys, and Fidelity are among the major recruiters in the placement drive.
