Our course taught us everything literally everything in detail starting from biochem to stem cell technology. Studying these all subjects led us to be specialised in specific fields like Genetic engineering, nanobiotechnology etc. Exams are easy once we start appearing we get habituated to exams. It helps us to prepare in part part . Enough time are given to study.

Course curriculum includes bothe the academic knowledge of the subjects and laboratory practices. Curriculum in my university equip me well with real life applications such as performing laboratory tests such as TLC, DLC, Gel electrophoresis, plasmid isolation, etc. Its completely worth it to pursue biotechnology from chandigarh university as lab assistants are also well trained and help you out with all the necessary help required to perform an experiment.

My course was B.Sc. Biotechnology, which is more lab based and lesser theory but still I think theory needs to taught in detail so that students can use their knowledge later on in industries and jobs. Also, the syllabus is covered with the help of ppts by teachers which is not appropriate in my POV, they should also include bookish learnings for students. The frequency and timming of exams is also not good. Mst 1 are held just after 15 days of the start of the semester and MSt 1 are held in the second month of the semester.

I am from science background so biotechnology at that is very fascinating term so that's how i choose that but later on due to the content and teaching behaviour i liked it very much. Biotechnology is something that is now plays important role in healthcare and new drug development process so that's how i like it and i got job later by this course in healthcare market research company. Nothing like improvement from my end only need to improve genetics subject curriculum. We get little time between exams like there is mst exams 2 times and 1 final exams held in one semester.

The curriculum of this course comprises of different subjects from this biotechnology field. In the first semester, the university introduced the basic curriculum that provides basic knowledge of each subject that introduces the students to newest field. Later on, it incorporates advanced information in further semesters. Along with the theoretical subject, each subject has its laboratory class as well. The bad side is EXAMS! The university randomly sets the datesheet as sometimes it gives some holidays for easy subject and gives just 1 or 2 holidays in difficult subjects. Moreover, they took exams in just four days setting 2 exams per day. I found this to be the downside of this University as it affects the grades of students. Also, it has a grade system which is ridiculous. The highest scorer for example having 95% marks gets A+ while 94.8% will get only A. Hence, it affects the grades of students even if they are 1 mark behind the topper. So, I believe that it needs to be changed.

Small class sizes allow for more meaningful discussions and collaboration among students and faculty. Faculty members who are actively involved in research and industry bring real-world relevance to the classroom. One-on-one meetings and office hours provide students with individualized support and guidance. Faculty who are accessible and approachable create a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Collaborative research projects and internships offer hands-on learning experiences and networking opportunities. Faculty who are passionate about their subjects inspire students to explore new ideas and push their boundaries. Faculty who provide constructive feedback help students improve their skills and reach their full potential. Faculty who serve as mentors and role models help students navigate challenges and make informed decisions about their academic and professional paths.

Exam conduction and curriculum of the college is up to mark. It includes all essential concepts. Faculty members are highly educated and well-classed, they have proper experience in the field, and it's worthy to take them as a mentor.
