Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) is a university-level entrance cum scholarship test conducted by Chandigarh University for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate programs offered in Management, Engineering, Law, Arts, and other streams. CUCET is used for admission cum scholarship purposes which offers a chance-to-all to win scholarships and study at Chandigarh University.

• CUCET is mandatory for admission to a few UG and PG courses such as B.E., MBA, LLM, M.Pharma, B.Pharma, etc.
• For the rest of the courses, CUCET acts as a scholarship test for pursuing the course at the university.
• CUCET is an online computer-based test conducted twice every year in two phases namely Phase I and Phase-II.
• The duration of the CUCET exam is 2 Hours and carries a total of 100 Marks. 
• The exam will be based on the syllabi of the concerned qualifying examination and aptitude for that subject.
• CUCET is mandatory for all except those who secured more than 90% in the qualifying exam or up to 50000 rank in JEE.

The candidates can apply for CUCET 2024 on its official website @ cucet.cuchd.in. The application fee for CUCET 2024 is INR 1,000 which needs to be submitted along with the application form. Chandigarh University offers up to 100% scholarship on the basis of CUCET for its Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs. Qualified candidates have to pay 30% of the total fee within 15 days of the result declaration to avail the scholarship benefits.

CUCET 2024 Application Form

CUCET 2024 Applications for Phase-I are open. Applications for CUCET are accepted through both online and offline modes. However, the CUCET exam will be conducted online only. The candidates can fill out the application form online on the official website of Chandigarh University. For offline applications, the candidates are required to visit the university where they can obtain the CUCET Brochure cum application form by paying an amount of INR 1,000.

How to Apply for CUCET 2024?

Here are the steps to apply for CUCET 2024:

• Visit the official website of CUCET @ cucet.cuchd.in.
• Register on the CUCET registration page and create your profile by filling in Name, Email, Contact Number, and City.
• On successful registration, the confirmation message will be sent through SMS/E-mail.
• Pay the registration fee of INR 1,000 after registration through the desired mode of payment. 
• Fill in the current qualification with the school name and subjects.
• Choose the CUCET exam date available in the drop-down menu.
• Check and verify all the details submitted in the application form. 

The candidates will be required to appear for the CUCET examination on the scheduled date and time through its official portal with their registered login details. CUCET Result will be intimated through e-mail and will also be displayed on the portal. 

CUCET 2024 Exam Pattern

CUCET 2024 is a computer-based test conducted in online mode for a duration of 2 Hours. The medium of examination will be English. The exam will have 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and each question will have four options out of which one will be the correct answer. For each correct answer, one mark will be awarded and there will be no penalty for any incorrect answer.

Given below is the CUCET 2024 Exam Pattern:

The section-wise questions in CUCET for different streams are as follows:  

• For the engineering program, there will be 30 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and 10 questions from English.
• For medical courses, there will be 30 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and 10 questions from English.
• For arts and humanities streams there will be 10 questions from general science and 30 questions from English along with other compulsory sections.
• Candidates appearing for arts and humanities programs will be given a choice to select any two subjects among Political Science, Sociology, Economics, and History for the entrance test.
• General Science and English shall remain compulsory papers for the entrance test of the arts and humanities program.
• Candidates applying for the commerce stream will be asked 30 questions each from Economics, Accounts, and Business Studies.
• English will be a compulsory paper for the commerce stream with 10 questions in the entrance exam.

CUCET 2024 Syllabus

CUCET 2024 Syllabus will be based on the syllabi of the concerned qualifying examination and aptitude for that subject. In most of the courses, there are four subjects in the syllabus including the English language. The section-wise syllabus for various subjects is mentioned below:

CUCET 2024 Admit Card

CUCET 2024 admit card will be available soon after submitting the application form. 

• CUCET Admit Card will be sent to the registered email address of the candidate after submitting the application form.
• The admit card will contain the personal information of the candidate and the date, time, and center of the examination.

If any candidate did not receive the admit card then S/he shall immediately report to the office of the university. Candidates are required to send their registration details through email to cucet@cumail.in. Candidates can also contact the admission cell of the university through their helpline number. 

CUCET 2024 Result

CUCET 2024 Result will be declared in online mode, on the day of the exam itself. Candidates securing a minimum of 30% marks in the exam will be considered eligible for admission. 

• The scorecard will be sent to the registered email ID of the candidates.
• After the results, a merit list will be prepared on the basis of the entrance results for the candidates who qualified in the exam.
• Candidates whose names appear on the merit list will be intimated through email.

After the declaration of the result, the qualified candidates are required to deposit 30% of the admission fee within 15 days to confirm the admission and to avail of the scholarship benefits.

CUCET 2024 Scholarships

CUCET is a mandatory entrance-cum-scholarship test that aims at recognizing the achievements, potential, and talent of the students by providing a chance to win scholarships and study at Chandigarh University. CU offers up to 100% scholarships to students on the basis of CUCET. The CUCET Scholarship amount varies depending on the merit scored by the candidate. The maximum scholarship will be allotted for CUCET Phase-1 and the minimum will be allotted to CUCET Phase-2.
