Around 76 recruiters visited the campus to offers job opportunities to the graduation students and made a total of 187 offers. Students from 4th year are able to sit in placements. Many companies from the IT sector come to college to offer the placements and it will be as per your Knowledge. Nearly 70% of people who sit for placement will get a job.

From the 7th semester, students are allowed to sit in placements. Many companies visit our colleges like L&T, Powergrid, Microsoft, Alstrum, Tech Mahindra, and TCS as this many companies will come, the Highest package of our college is 45LPA, and the placement percentage is about 60%.

From 6 semesters students become eligible for campus placements. NIT Meghalaya has concluded its placement drive for the batch passing out in 2022. The institute has achieved an overall 70% placements for the academic year 2021-2022. The companies are Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, etc.

College provides campus placements. Most top companies visit our campus for recruiting students. The top MNCs that visit are Amazon, Microsoft, Oracle, TCS, and more. The average package is 15lpa and the highest package is 48lpa.

The placements here up to the mark and are only improving every year. This year the highest International package was around 82 LPA and the highest domestic package was around 42 LPA. Some of the companies that visit NITM are Microsoft, Amazon, HP, L&T, Powergrid, Mater Card, Nissan, etc. The institute also boasts an impressive 100% placement rate.

Placement is very good. Average placement of my college is 6.2 Lakhs. Every eligible student get job in various companies. And every semester break those student having good cgpa some professor provide internship to him in various companies and iit. And when companies come for placement they took first general aptitude test and then group discussion and finally interview who qualified first and second procedure.

Placement scenario of the Institute is above average. Since, being a new institute it takes time to establish the quality in education, facilities, infrastructure to attract the companies to come to the college and select the students. But after all these problems due to hardwork of faculties and students every year we get good placement stats. From last 3-5 years the average package is 5-7 lpa, and highest package varies between 14-18 lpa. College doesn't provide any internship but gives the opportunity to eligible students to get those.

- Each course which teachers teaches also have lab of that course which help in getting the topics more widely and keenly
Dislikes
- Shillong climate changes very drastically, most of the time we faced raining and too much cold at the time of winter
- Shillong traffic is also another reason for disliking that place

NIT Meghalaya is ranked 68th among the engineering colleges in India by NIRF Ranking 2019. The placement record of this institute is quite good by providing almost 90% placements every year.
NIT Nagaland is one of the 30 NITs in India by having its campus and providing all its students’ requirements. The institute ranks 151 by NIRF Ranking and provides nearly 80% placements every year.

NIT Meghalaya
- The minimum eligibility criteria to apply for BTech is 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of 75% marks.
- The candidates have to pass the JEE Main exam followed by a JoSAA counselling to get admission.

The faculties of both these institutes are always there for the students to clarify the doubts. They always motivate and inspire the students in all possible ways. NIT Meghalaya consists of 80 faculties while NIT Nagaland consists of 45 faculties.
Campus life:
The library of NIT Meghalaya has a collection of 13000 books on various topics. There are 5 hostels for boys and 2 for girls with a capacity of 460 and 140 respectively.
NIT Nagaland has six hostels with each having a capacity of 60 students.

Yes, there are internship oppurtunities available in NIT Meghalya. The Summer Iternship program occurs in June July. The students of B.Tech., M.Tech., M.Sc. and MA can apply for these internships. The eligibility of the intership is to complete six semesters in UG course such as B.Tech. and two semesters in PG course such as M.Tech.
NIT Meghalya has decent placement oppurtunities available for M.Tech. students. The average package offered is INR 6.78 lacs. The top recruiters of M.Tech. students are Vedanta, IBM, CGI, Tata, CEAT and IFB. No. of M.Tech. students selected in the 2023 are given below:
