hough maximum of the students want to carry out their higher study as Ph.D. scholar from CIFE, there are many opportunities for those who wants early settlement in life. If private sector is concerned, many fish feed manufacturing company like Godrej, CP, Avanti use to conduct yearly basis interview and choose the talents from CIFE. The higher posts of the company like the marketing supervisor, R and D are offered with lucrative deal to the students. The good reputation of CIFE assures a good placement scope for the students. If central job is concerned, there is always a chance to become an Agriculture Research Scientist (ARS) through the examination conducted by the Agriculture Research Scientist Recruitment Board (ASRB), ICAR, government. Of West Bengal. The ICAR NET qualified students in respective discipline have the scope to become Assistant Professor in any Fisheries University. From my senior batch 6 students got selected as ARS, 3 students got selected in the marketing wing of Godrej feed company. Even in my batch though maximum of them were selected in their respective State government job, 2 students again got selected in Godrej feed company. The excellent placement scope is now attracting the young generation toward the fisheries sector, keeping CIFE at the centre of all of these.

During the course work the students went for 3/6 months to different farms or institution to learn regardingtherir subject matter, after the completion of their course, they can join as a asst professor, scientist, private sector like feed meals, kvks, state fisheries department as a fisheries inspector, research associate in fisheries institutes.

One can find employment in Various feed companies, as SRF in various on going projects, and as assistant professor (after clearing ICAR-NET), associate professor, contract based teaching. After qualifying for ARS-NET, one is employed as a scientist in various research institutions. There is a huge scope for entrepreneurship in this sector with the help of government subsidies.

Many good companies like Godrej feed company, CP etc visit our institute yearly to conduct interviews. The students are offered with very good placement opportunities. A number of students get placed through our institute placements.
