as this course is a little advanced course the curriculum starts with some basic aspects which is good for students even from completely unrelated course backgrounds. This is a big positive as well as a negative aspect of the curriculum. As the curriculum is composed of basic matters, the highly advanced part which is closely related to the course is less taught. For some things, that need practical experience, we only end up with some basic theories. The teaching methods are actually good and unique as each faculty teaches in their own way. We have 4 semesters in the curriculum with the last sem completely for dissertation and viva. The exams are 2 internals and end semester exam for the first 3 sems. The exams have easy to tough questions to analyze the student's capabilities.

The institute provides exposure to various fields of physics and has a pretty good laboratory facilities and facilities. Curriculum is designed in accordance with the NET and GATE examination. Examinations are conducted time bound. Moreover the curriculum gives importance to continuous evaluation more than end sem assessment.
The syllabus covers almost all the topics that are important for a pg student. It's a bit tough for the sometimes but books from the library contain all the books that can help students to learn deeply about the topics The faculties are really outstanding. They are always so kind and helpful. They cover the whole syllabus within time and were ready to repeat the portions again and again. They never pressurize or insulted students. There have associate professors, assistant professors, and guest lectures. Semester exams are not so easy but if you are ready to learn a topic to its depth then you can score a good mark.
The fee is comparatively less here. Students from Kerala are eligible to get scholarship from the government known as e-grantz on the basis of the income and reservation categories. Students can also apply for other scholarships and the department staffs and faculties are really supportive.
The courses are a little bit difficult but it's not at all hefty. Faculties in my department are very well educated and they come to classes regularly. They also give lots of information regarding ongoing researches in our field.
Being a central government institution, the fee structure is affordable. The fee breakdown is listed at the time of admission and everything is clear. No extra expenses are to be cleared for securing an admission. The college accepts the course fees as cash only and a valid and clear receipt is provided. The program fee was around 7000? an year
The fee for the program is very affordable and the quality of education that is provided in this course fee is praiseworthy in itself. Limited scholarships are approved while none are provided by the university itself.
