It is better to start internship in 2nd or 3rd year for proper legal understanding before a student graduates from the college. The college will provide practical knowledge but it does not encounter proper real life situatons.
Around the 10th semester if I'm not wrong , internship opportunities are already good here. Since I'm in my first year that's what I'm more knowledgeable about .there are commeties which helps in internship and placement.
We have a seperate placement cell in our college..which is one of the most important part of all top law college across the world.. placement cell helps the students teaches them to attend interview of top law firms and get job in them.. average placement is around 8 lakhs per annum
From 8th semester student become eligible for campus placement. The companies include Infosys, renowned law firms etc. Percentage of students getting placement is 88 percent. The average package is of 10 lpa. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue corporate law and also do social service and lead a life full of contentment and satisfaction.
With various workshops and events provided, the students get a lot of exposure that not only helps them learn but can also secure a job at esteemed law firms. Students can intern under advocates excelling in different fields of law.
The students are encouraged to start interning from 2nd year onwards. The faculty suggests the students to expand their limits and intern for companies and law firms of different fields to learn what interests them the best.
From 4th year and above, students can decide on the path they choose to work in and choose the elective courses as such. 5th year, ususally the college allows you to take up long term internships. There is a placement commitment in the college.
Since some of them choose to study further, or choose a different career path altogether , the percentage of student's getting placement is not determined.
From the last semester onwards students are eligible for on campus Placements.
Akshaya Patra is one of the Law firms that visited last year and few offers were given to students there's no exact value for the number.
7,00,000 is the highest package offered for legal assistant.
75% students get placed.
I've further plans to Pursue my master after degree
Yet there is only 5-6 placements yet. But we got internships in NGO's and court to get better knowledge and practice. Students who scored 65 to 70 plus will count prior for the placements opportunity..
My plan after this is to study LLM and go for the corporate lawyer.
From the 1st year itself placement cell can be used for law firms or non profit organisations etc
Sometimes the salary is not mentioned
It includes Internship and jobs
The reputation of firms is not very high
My plans are probably to go for litigation ir corporate law
People in the 10th semester get eligible for campus place ment the highest package recieved is 6 lakhs and the avg package was about 2.5 lakhs getting placed after law is not as easy as other degrees such as engineering
