Firstly the curriculum taught is a bit older, in comparision to the modern technologies. There is a lack of practical knowledge inside the students. The management should opt some of the advanced subjects in their curriculum so as to make learning interesting and easier.

I'm my year of admission the curriculum is the old one which mainly includes basic knowledge of mechanical engineering and some advantamce stuff but not on latest stuff ie what's going on world of tech now. But this curriculum is changed now and the institute is still working towards the improvement in courses design.

I have chosen mechanical engineering because it connects me to real world as I can see and feel the machine. Moreover I have personal interest in machine and automobile engineering. Provides practical projects and internships, helping you solve real engineering problems and gain industry skills. Areas of improvement in teaching methods . Use more interactive and project-based learning for better engagement. Teachers are more focused on marks not on practical this needs to be improved. Exams There are two exams held per semester that is. Mid semester exams and End semester exams Difficulty level - Moderate to difficult Mid semester exam held in month of - February and October End semester exam held in month of - December and May.

The curriculum is recently being upgraded according to the new education policy. The courses are being modified continuously to meet industry standards as well as keep the level of academics intact. The curriculum is mostly similar to the other IITs and NITs of the country. The old curriculum lacked the modern approach and industry standardization which is being upgraded from the academic year 2023-24.The teaching methods are also being upgraded continuously. In a particular semester, there are two major examinations named - mid-semester exams and end-semester exams. The difficulty of the exams is good and a minimum level of preparation is required to pass the exams and clear the subject.

My interest is in Mechanical engineering from the beginning so that's why I chose this branch. Although, ME is oldest branch and mother of all branches in the engineering and placements of the ME in the college is also very good

As I am in the first you are so I would like to rate curriculum 8 as I found the curriculum quite good in many aspects, as i am from mechanical engineering branch I have studied basics of electronics engineering , basics of electrical engineering, drg and many more subjects which are the basics of many branches it is held as to grow our thinking to next branches and I found that quiet better. Also the faculty members are quiet good but some favors himachali students but overall it a better environment to live in such a environment

The curriculum covers foundational concept with emerging trends in this field.look for practical and hands-on experiences that bridge with theoretical knowledge with real world scenarios. The curriculum includes practical projects, internship,or industry collabrtion , that provide hand on experience. And coursework covers contemporary topics andtechnologies relevant to the field. It can equip student with practical skills and problem solving abilities applicable to real world senarios. Look for opportunities for internship , industry project , or case study that simulates real world challange The quality of course carriculum depends upon its alignment with needs of industry it's ability to foster critical thinking and practical skills and it's responsiveness to emerging trends in the field.
