2 peoples were adjusted in a single seater room for the first year..that created alot of problems

Hostel facilities depends on the hostel you are alloted.. In first year I got H6..2 peoples were allted one room of single capacity which was very small..just 1 almirah..and 1 socket for charging wasn't enough for 2 peoples..2 beds 2 tables and 2 chairs in that small room was a bit too congested..while the food was decent at days while alot of time we had to eat outside as well due to poor mess and use of unhealthy oils..

Hostel Facilities:

In room of hostel there is one table for study and one light and one fan, one almirah which is in built and for summer we have to purchase cooler by own. Quality of hostel meal is good and also we decide what to make in hostel so it is not a big deal. Registration process for hostel is very easy and ther is 15 hostel in our college to accommodate around 5k students and out of which 4 is girls hostel. There is no room or pg available outside campus so final option is the college hostel which is affordable

Hostel Facilities:

There are single seater rooms for girls where fans almirah and washroom are combined for a particular block. 3 time food is given breakfast, Lunch and dinner.the food quality is also good.As in breakfast prathe,poha sandwich and many things are being given in lunch kheer puri sabji many many things which we like are given. In registration process we have to pick a slip from that we get no. Of our room and fees to be paid in a very easy process. The registration process of my college hostel is very easy.we have alloted hostel rooms.

My Experience with NIT kurukshetra

Hostel Facilities:

Hostels have a common room with AC and Television, there is lan facility in every room ( 3 lan ports in every room), also a paid washing machine system, there are bathrooms on every floor, with geyser and 5 wash basin on each floor for our hostel.

Hostel are of very old fashioned and lab are also not good.

Very old facinited facilities in hostel which is very bad . Meal quality is even roast , very bad but amount is 35000 per semester which also inlude hostel rent and all other fee like electricity bill.

The hostel rent is somewhere around 40000 for 3 seater room in whivh mess advance is 30000 , 6000 is non refundable fees for hostel and rest are the elctricity bill of the hostel. the food of mess is deacent not so good but all other facilities are good like washrooms and washing machines

We have room with three beds, two fans, one combined table, three comfortable chairs, almirah for keeping our things and most beautiful thing is the balcony. This is first year and after 1st year we are going to get single seater room. Hostel provides students with ground for volleyball, badminton and cricket. Also it provides indoor games like carrom and table tennis. The hostel demands approximately 7 thousands per month.

Hostels are quite old fashioned yet good. H-3 for first year is very well spaced. 2 seaters hostels like H-6 are not very well spaced.yet manageable. Mess and menu is good for North Indians south indian may face problems initially. Menu is decided by students themselves through MHMC.

As a girl student at NIT Kurukshetra, I can tell you about the facilities in girls’ hostels.

The three girls’ hostels are- Kalpana Chawla Bhawan, Bhagirathi Bhawan and Cauvery Bhawan. These are some facilities provided at these hostels-

All the hostels have single seater rooms.
There is a strict no ragging policy.
The rooms are well-lit, well-ventilated and spacious. You will be provided with a wooden almirah, chair(s)-table and a bed. The rooms have a small balcony.
Washrooms are provided with geysers.
The newly constructed Kalpana Chawla Bhawan even has a lift facility.
Each hostel has a LAN or Wifi facility and the internet speed is fine.
A mess committee comprising 6 students decides the hostel menu.
The food is nice and only vegetarian meals are served.
Hostel canteens remain open till 1 am and cater to the needs of hostelites.
Common rooms are provided in each hostel.
There is a beauty parlor within the hostel premises. Laundry facility is available.
Sweepers regularly clean the washrooms and corridors.
If you want the maid to clean your room, she’ll charge you money for the service.
You can keep a cooler in your room during the summers. The amount charged will be added to your monthly hostel bills.
NIT Kurukshetra has a lush green campus. There are gardens and open areas in the hostel premises. You can play in the open areas and do yoga in the gardens.
The hostels have fridge, TV, and washing machine facility. A Maggie hotspot was recently started in the premises. Kalpana Chawla Bhawan also has a gym facility.

Overall, the hostels at NIT Kurukshetra are really good and worth every cent.

I am a fresher at NIT Kurukshetra, residing in H2 boys hostel. I will describe the condition of boys hostels at NIT Kurukshetra using my limited knowledge-

Freshers are allotted 3 seater rooms which are small and old.
H1, H2 and H3 hostels do not have Wifi facilities. Instead they have WLAN which is useful only if you have a laptop or a router.
The student committee of each hostel decides the menu. It is a good thing that the choice of meals is handled by the students themselves.
Overall the hostels are great. They have open grounds where you can play sports like tt, chess, badminton, volleyball, etc., given that you arrange the required equipment.
You can watch tv till 10 pm in the common rooms. You can also read newspapers over there.
During 1st month, freshers can only travel to their classes and back. This is done to ensure that there is no ragging.
Once the freshers party is done with, you can enjoy all the freedom.

NIT Kurukshetra hostels are good. You will enjoy your time over here.

My brother was a student at NIT Kurukshetra and was allotted a room in H-3 Chakrdhar Bhawan on the campus. He had two other roommates from Rajasthan. Initially, he felt awkward sharing his living space with someone else but after a few days, he adapted well to it. They became great friends, who would discuss papers and help each other in preparing for tests. He realized that the rooms and food don’t make hostel life but your friends do.

He befriended some really good people who became his supporters in the first year. They would help her in all times of need and hang out in their free time.

He had the best hostel life experience thanks to his amazing friends and the room and the hostel have a special place in his heart. He heard from his friends at other colleges like NIT Patna, VIT Vellore, BITS Goa, etc. that their hostel life was rather restrictive.

He was glad he chose BIT Kurukshetra which gave him some amazing memories and friends for life.

There are a total of four hostels allotted for the institute. A single room is given for each student, and each section is divided into H-7, H-8, H-9, and H-10 for the BTech students. Among them, H-10 is newly constructed, allotted for second-year students, and has all the facilities, including the water cooler, internet facility, and so on. The other hostels have poor facilities and are not properly maintained. You can also switch to H-10 with the permission of the authorities.

NIT Kurukshetra does not have Air Conditioner room facilities for the students. There are other facilities available such as Fan, chair, table, bed, almirah etc.
