NIT Kurukshetra B.Tech Admission 2024
The institute offers 4-year B.Tech degree courses in seven engineering streams. For admission into B. Tech, applicants must have a valid score in JEE Main. However, the final seat is allotted during the JoSAA Counselling.

NIT Kurukshetra B.Tech Eligibility Criteria
- For NIT Kurukshetra admission in B.Tech, candidates must have at least 75% marks in 10+2 examination or be in the top 20% of the respective board, with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject, are eligible to apply. SC/ST category candidates, the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination.
- Candidates will have to qualify JEE Main.
- Reservation of seats is done in accordance with the rules laid down by the Government of India.
NIT Kurukshetra B.Tech. Selection Criteria
Considering the 12th exam results and the score of JEE Main, a merit list shall be made category-wise, listing All India Rank (AIR) of candidates.
To participate in the NIT Kurukshetra admission process, candidates have to register for counselling online at the official JoSSA website. Choice filling and locking is mandatory and it is to be done by the candidate only. In a decreasing order of preference, branch choices are to be filled. Based on the cut off set by NIT Kurukshetra, seats will be allocated in each round of counselling.
NIT Kurukshetra BTech 2024: How to Apply?
NIT BTech admissions are based on JEE Main score. The institute conducts JoSAA counselling for BTech admission. The step wise application process is given below:
Step1: To apply for JEE Main, aspirants need to visit, @jeemain.nta.ac.in
Step 2: Read the instructions and information form. JEE Main will be conducted two times (Session-1 and Session-2).
Step 3: Fill out the application form by providing the necessary details and take a printout for further reference. The fees for JEE Main 2024 registration is INR 1000 for the Male candidates. The fees for female candidates is INR 800 while SC/ST/PwD category candidates need to pay INR 500.

Admission process is through jee main if you got good percentile then you can choose this college and they also provide reservation for sc st OBC ews category as directed by our central government. If you got it,cs ece then it's best option in this college

- Location factor , Kurukshetra is not the place where you can enjoy your college life , It is situated at tier 3 city .
- Co-circular activities are not good and coding culture is going down from past few years
Admission:
admission is done through JEE Mains exam and counselling done through JOSAA counselling .NITs have 50 % state Quota . Counseling is conducted in 6 rounds and then 2 special rounds. JEE main is 3 hour exam of 300 marks with +4 for every correct - 1 for negative answers

- NIT Kurukshetra is one of the highly reputed college in India. The curriculum they provide is amazing. They provide good facilities in sports too.
- We have machine learning and AI course even for the core branches like mine. They focus more on practical knowledge over theoretical. Multiple laboratories and workshops are present here.
Dislikes
- The professors are strict for the core branches but not for the circuital branches.
Admission:
Anyone who wants to enroll here for any course of Btech will have to clear the highly reputed examination JEE Mains. It's application can be formed on the website of National Testing Agency(NTA). In this exam reservations are provided on the basis of quota SC,ST,OBS, General -EWS and some sort of female reservation is also here. The cutoff when I admitted here was 93 percentile for general female candidate. No improvement is required in admission process. Everything is almost online and smooth.

- Seniors are helpful and humble. They always appreciate when a junior reaches out to them and asks the doubt

- The campus is not so good there are not many things to explore in a campus
- The location of the college is in very backward area because of that it gets difficult to explore the city
Admission:
The admission process was smooth everyone there was friendly and helpful. The year in which I took the admission the criteria was 75% in 10+2 and for some states candidate should be among top 20 percentile. The application starts as you get the seat from Jossa counselling you will start recieving emails and you have to follow them. The OBC, SC, ST and PWD candidates gets special reservation. Everything went well and I was satisfied with the process. One place where there can be improved is during the time of registration there could be more staff engaged in the registration process to make it faster.
Likes
- Campus is clean, its a lush green 300acre campus which is very nice nature wise.
- Hostels are well equipped with Lan ports, we get around 80mbpd speed, which is nice.
Dislikes
- infrastructure is not upto the mark. hostels are also not well maintained (H1 , H5, H6)
- physics lab does not have equipments that are working correctly.
Admission:
u give JEE mains , need to score above 75% in ur 12th class, then apply for josaa counselling, fill up ur preferences of colleges there, according to ur score and cutoff u will be alloted a seat in a college.

You have to give JEE MAINS examination for the admission in UG courses and the counselling is done through JOSAA. For securing a seat in a tech branch you must have 98-99percentile in JEE MAINS . The application form is available at NTA website .

- The main reason is the staff professor and whole dean are good and ready to solve the problem

- The ratio of boys and girl are also weak in every department except non core

The eligibility require to get admission is similar like others NIT is through JEE mains for Btech and GATE for Mtech and other exams for for other courses and for take admission you have to clear cutt off of jee mains according to your catagory

The admission happens based on the jee mains rank . And the branches are taken by students based on their jee ranks you have to go for josa counselling for getting the admission and jee mains happens twice ya year so there is enough chance for you

- Single rooms are provided to every student from second year onwards and triple sharing in first year.
- The classrooms are amazing, large in size equipped with sir conditioners and centrally located.
Dislikes
- The placement cell is screwed up and the placement officers are very arrogant and always blame you for everything.
- The college and the entire city is vegetarian friendly and it gets very difficult to find good quality non veg food.
Admission:
The admission process is quite smooth and you'll get to face least amount of trouble during the entire process. It mainly happens through JEE main and Josaa counseling and the cutoff depends upon your gender and category.
Likes
- The campus has modern facilities like laboratories and libraries and CCN.
- Our college encourages a balanced student life with various events, clubs and societies. And my favourite fest is Confluence.
Dislikes
- The faculty here is boring. They have an old fashioned teaching style. They don't use exciting stuff that much.
- The second thing is Night curfew. Freshers are not allowed to go out of the hostels after 8:30PM.
Admission:
There admission process took aur 7-8 hours. For admission, students have to get good rank in JEE Mains exam. For my course, the closing rank is AIR 40K after reservation benefit. And I scored about 97 percentile in JEE Mains. JEE mains takes place 2 times a year. 1st session is in January and second is on April. JEE mains is a moderate level exam . It's not as much difficult as JEE advanced. In admission process, the staff should be active. During my admission, all work was done in about 1-2 hours but the final task took about 5-6 hours because the old man was not able to take that much load at a time.

NIT Kurukshetra offers a full time MBA of 2 years duration. NIT Kurukshetra admission in MBA is based on CAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT score. A total of 53 seats are available in NIT Kurukshetra MBA, out of which 21 belong to the General category candidates. To be eligible for MBA at NIT Kurukshetra, a candidate should have passed Graduation in any stream with minimum 50% marks (for SC/ST candidates 45% are required). Candidates should have cleared CAT/MAT/CMAT/GMAT Exam. Taking into account the marks scored in Graduation and the scores of CAT/MAT/CMAT/GMAT, candidates are shortlisted for GD and PI. The institute prepares a merit list which contains the names of selected candidates based on the entrance exam score and performance in GD & PI. Weightage of 70 marks is assigned to the entrance exam score and 30 marks are for the performance in GD/PI.
