The variety in their subjects attracted me insanely. Subjects like Machine learning Artificial intelligence, Matlab are included even in core branches. They provide internship to most of the students after fourth semester and also after sixth semester via training and placement cell. This helps a lot gaining hands-on experience. The students who can't bag any internship are provided with projects under guidance of any faculty members. Taking about improvement, workshops can be utilised more efficiently and marks for attendance should be provided, rest of the things are okay. We have three exams every semester (2 mid sems and one end sem) for both theory and practical. The difficulty level depends solely on the department head for end semester and for mid sems it's upto the faculty teaching us. The questions are moderate but checking is really strict in some of the subjects.

Thermodynamics, machine design, kinetics of material and fluid mechanics provides a strong foundation of mechanical engineering principles. The curriculum seems pretty nice. But it includes some topics that have no practical use in our jobs. The teaching method should be improved by using modern facilities. And sometimes teacher comes and finishes the lecture by reading pdf only. They should use blackboard to explain some concepts. The exams here come back every 45 days. We have 2 mid sem and one end sem exam. It becomes very hectic sometimes. The difficulty level is moderate. You can easily cover one subject preparation in 4-5 days.

The course curriculum is good but it can get better. Instead of all the theory that is mentioned in the syllabus..along with that there must be provision of physical knowledge also. It would greatly influence the students overall growth and holastic development in each abd every field.

In the curriculum, there we are covering very wide subjects and it's becoming like burden. Although we get proper availability of books in the library, Practical in the laboratory. The improvement is there should be the availability of book of new addition. There is a requirement of tutorial class so that we can experience the theory we learn in class. There are some difficulties like 2 mid-semester, 1 end-semester, and practical exams in approx 5 months which makes our schedule very hectic. Although it warns us frequently to study seriously

As there are many rush in the tech sector so I decided to take mechanical as this branch is like a golden/evergreen branch which never gets recession because a major need in social life is of mechanical engineers. Some of the curriculums are outdated which need to be improved. Students should get choices according to thier interest and they should be provided financial to do research or in the invention field. Exam is 3 hr conducted by nta till 2023 but now it is conducted by JAB.

I choose mechanical engineering because we get learn about machine learning and designing AutoCAD,and core knowledge about machines. Our curriculum emphasis on real applications. Less professional teachers and exams to often. Exams aren't difficult but occurs to often 3 times in one semester.

Currently doing btech from nit kurukshetra my branch is mechanical engineering. The mechanical engineering teaches us how to build a car and engine how to design a car firstly my interest was in the tech feild but now i am shifting towards the mechanical because of love for cars I am heard from different people that mechanical engineering is very difficult but now i am facing not such problems in mechanical engineering It is slightly tough but not more than it One thing that want to improve that the 75 percentage attendance criteria it was very bad if insome you didn't not understand anything but you want to go their class to waste your precious time because of the 75 percentage attendance criteria

I always wanted to join mechanical engineering from childhood and as of my score I go to admission in NIT in mechanical I was very happy but I think the curriculum here is not very good as a expected because here the teachers also not very good teachers. Also there is academic pressure on the student but I think of all we have to manage it because we are BTech students

Most of the students were placed in the core companies, while others got opportunities in consultancies, data analytics companies, and so on.
Faculty – Frankly speaking, the senior faculty members are not good at giving effective lectures and notes. They somehow manage to complete the portions without much effort or commitment. The younger professors put in a lot of hard work and dedication and it is worth attending their classes
Extracurricular Activities – NIT Kurukshetra gives special importance to supplementary activities, which play a key role in your personal development. Numerous clubs are running on campus, including debate, music, drama, photography, etc. Fests are also conducted every year on campus.
Overall, NIT Kurukshetra is a good choice for both your studies and extra-curricular activities.
NIT Kurukshetra or PEC Chandigarh are the best options for you. You can certainly cross NIT Jalandhar off your list.
The practical labs at NITJ are not well-equipped, and the majority of the equipment is broken. The faculty, on the other hand, is excellent. You should not make NITJ your top priority.
