Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) was established by GERMI as a Private University through the State Act. It was formerly known as Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU). The university is located at Raisan village of Gandhinagar city. The University is recognised by UGC (University Grants Commission) and is a member of AIU (Association of Indian Universities).
PDEU has four schools, located on the same campus. The schools include the School of Petroleum Technology, School of Technology, School of Petroleum Management, and School of Liberal Studies. The university offers various courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and research level.
Admission in B.Tech and M.Tech is done through JEE Mains and GATE respectively. Candidates seeking admission in MBA will have to appear in CAT/XAT/NMAT. Interested candidates need to note that registration for NMAT and XAT has started and will end on November 10 and November 30 respectively .
Admission to M.Sc. is based on Written Test and PI conducted by the university itself.
For PhD courses, students must qualify in the Research Aptitude Test (RAT) which is also conducted by the university.

The university also focuses in the area of Arts and Business Administration so as to reach out to many students. Courses like Master of Business Administration (MBA), PGDPM-x, PGDGM-x, Master of Arts (MA) and Master of Science (M.Sc) are offered at postgraduate level. Ans. The PDEU will fill 35% of the available seats with applicants who completed the qualifying examination from schools in India (including Gujarat State) and have registered for the JEE Main. The JEE Main rank and marks will be used to determine the merit list for these seats.

I was a DASA student and had lived in the gulf before. So my admission was on the basis of SATs. It required about 280 or more to be eligible for this. The admission process was quick but as usual the form filling was quite lengthy.

The admission process is through pdeu's website and also acpc counselling in Gujarat. only jee scores are considered for website counselling while it takes jee+gujcet scores for acpc one. It has high cut-offs for cse and ict others are relatively lower

Everything is available at official website of the institution. I applied through ACPC based on GUJCET and 12th Score. My rank was around 10000. There are 3 rounds out of which I got selected in 1st round. The semester is of 6 months, 4 months teaching, half month exams and rest vacation.

Admission process is very simple. I gave JEE and got admission on JEE basis. Form was available online which I registered by paying the form fees. College makes a ranking lost of all applied students and grants them course based on their preference and score.

Two way to enter JEE Mains, the normal cutoff is 50/60k rank and for management quota no limit Gujcet, cutoff is 5/6k rank and same for the management quota However this cutoff went way low in recent years

It was based on JOSSA. Very simple. I got computer engineering in last round, which was offline, so would strongly recommend staying till last round to get your branch. Exams are held as per the schedule, and changes based on the situation. Not standard, but doesn't cause any issues

PDPU or Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University is an engineering college in Gandhinagar. The campus size of PDPU is about 100 acres. It is recognized by UGC. It has been ranked 55th in India (2016) and 1st in Gujarat by NIRF. Also in the engineering category, it’s been ranked 177 by NIRF 2020.

Eligibility:
For B. Tech courses, the entrance exam of JEE MAIN is mandatory along with the minimum aggregate of 60% in 12th.
For M. Tech courses, the entrance exam of GATE is a compulsory one.
If an applicant is targeting a course like MBA, a valid score of CAT/XMAT/NMAT is required followed by GD, PI, WAT previous experience, and academic records.
For admissions in post-graduation of liberal studies such as MSc and MA, the applicant has to take the test conducted by the Institute namely GUJCET.
Ph.D. Admissions are based on the scores obtained in the RAT(Research Aptitude Test).
