The electives in the curriculum are really helpful in CV making. The curriculum is pretty insightful and nicely designed. It indeed prepares us for real-world applications. The areas of improvement can be the lengthiness of curriculum can be reduced especially for B. Tech and B.Sc students.

I give 8 out of 10 because when I prepare for jee examination at that time their is a critical situation i.e corona that affect my result because at that time I studied from competition online course. Due to online I am unable to interact with teacher as well as unable to ask questions from teacher.so due to which I give out of 10. Now it's a good time for my junior you can do it and crack it IIT NIT. only focus on study and giving test properly and interact with teacher and ask your problem.

So the curriculum initially seemed too hectic but later it became easy to handle all. The things is this curriculum is preparing us to fight the real world so its just like the real world never know when it'll change into hectic or easy

I was consistent with my study also i was determined to choose this course due to more interest in the chemical engg field. The course which has been taught here is very useful with respect to my overall growth and helped me a lot to gain more knowledge in this field. Some of the things should be improved here like the attendance is 85% which sometimes becomes a burden for overall growth also some new faculties should be introduced for the young minds.

From my higher school days..I was having interest in science field basically in the field where there is the application of maths and chemistry. When I have searched more about the curriculum of chemical engineering I found some of the very interesting subjects such as chemical process calculations, mass transfer, heat transfer, fluid mechanics and so on. All because of mine keen interest on these subjects i choosed up this branch. This branch is having a lot of real world applications in oil and refineries, in petrochemical power plants and in various other industries. The overall course curriculum of chemical engineering I think excellent at nit Rourkela. One can learn a lot from labs and courses. Exams are held twice in a year..some subjects are easy to handle while some requires continuos efforts and practice to get a good grade. Superb branch of u want to be an excellent industrialist and to contribute to the technological and environmental advancement aspects.

I was interested in chemistry so I chose this course as it involves application of chemistry, physics, biology and mathematics to solve real world problems. We can target both core and non core jobs in this field. We have labs, projects and research internships in order to learn more about the curriculum and apply it in real world. I think we can improve a lot on the internship part so that we can get hands on experience working in this field. Exams are evenly spread out throughout the semester and we have a fair share of both easy and difficult papers. The difficulty of paper usually depends upon the faculty.

Course is very well designed. All the professors are either qualified from NIT or IIT. Teaching done by professors is very good. There is even review session at the end of semester. Overall all the things are very good. Exams ad tests are conduct on time for preparation of the semester exams.

I have chosen a chemical engineering 4-year Btech course, During the first year core subjects are introduced. Labs and practicals are there. Faculty are very good but attendance is a must or you will get a grade back if more absent in particular courses.
The choice of an institute depends on 2 major factors, the credibility of the institute and the branch you are getting. In terms of the worth of the institute NIT Rourkela clearly overpowers NIT Durgapur. NIT Rourkela ranks second in East India after IIT Kharagpur.
NIT Rourkela Biotechnology is designed for students whose primary focus is pursuing qualitative research and g for a Masters's or Ph.D. That being said, it has limited job opportunities and the placement percentage is as low as 60%. Moreover, only a handful of core companies make offers and the average CTC offered is in the range of 5 -6 Lakhs.
NIT Durgapur Chemical Engineering is a suitable choice if you prioritize placements to research work. Even the core placements are decent here with companies like IOCL, etc visiting the campus during placements.
Ultimately, both institutes and branches offer diverse opportunities so you need to consider your inclinations first. If you are a research enthusiast, NIT Rourkela Biotechnology is great but if your first preference is earning money, then go for NIT Durgapur Chemical Engineering.
My suggestion will be the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai. The reasons are mentioned below.
Chemical engineering is a part of many departments in NIT Rourkela or any other NIT but ICT Mumbai specializes in it. Hope it helps.
