Had an interest in architecture for a long time. One should have an interest in this course as it requires a lot of dedication. The faculty-to-student ratio is about 1:2. The faculty is topnotch but the number of students is quite less so not much competition is seen. The exams are quite easy to pass.

I was very much inclined to this particular course. Faculty to student ratio is very much proper. The facilities have all achieved master's degrees in the particular course and the teaching process is very much friendly. The gap between term exams is 6 months and it's quite easy to pass.
*Might not be the best college for architecture but the Faculty is really good and highly skilled. *The studio is available to work at almost all times so that helps the students to get their work done. *Some subjects are taught very less than the others due to less amount of time they are allotted but its Double
Our course of Architecture is decided by Council of Architecture Delhi, so its similar to all colleges in India. But NIT ROURKELA had few guidlines and extra subjects as Open Elective, Physical Education, NCC, NSS which also affects the grades. The academic procedure of NIT Rourkela is pretty rough and tight for the Architecture students as it starts from 8.00 am and ends at 6:15pm. In other colleges of Architecture it is mostly starts around 10am and finishes around 4pm. But students get habituated with the curriculum by the time. The study and examination procedures are really of high standards.
It’s feasible for an average family income holders but the college also provides certain compensation to individuals depending on their total family income. And their are loans available in the college itself where one can apply during admissions
Yes the fee structure is little expensive but we can not say it expensive as it varies according to income group that means the fee of a student per semester depends upon parents anual income there are three categories below 1 lakh ,1lakh to 5lakh and above 5lakh
i am a an architecture student, a girl belonging to general category and my fee is almost around 66-68k each semester. compared to other government institutes and colleges NITR has a more expensive fee structure. however the loan facility can be availed for students' assistance.
