Remarks :

Our college infrastructure is very good with greenery all around. So we don't face the problem of pollution as we all use bicycles for the transportation purpose. And since our University is in the state of Assam at the boarder of india, we have a fear of a terrorist attack.

Course Curriculum Overview :

This is a good University with a good infrastructure. The course curriculum is better and the exam structure is all about 4 main exams per sem which includes the first test, mid term, third test, and the end test

Placement Experience :

Our college is a bit behind in the case of placements in the btech section. We have various departments other than the engineering. They are the best for their placements and ranks much better. Internship is also good.

College Events :

We celebrate a variety of festivals. Some of them are durga puja, Diwali, Holi, and many other religions and national festivals. We also have a nss program where the volunteers take the responsibility for the awareness programmes.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure for any department is feasible and can be bared by a middle class person. It is not so expensive. The fee structure is available in the official website of the University. The fee is feasible

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are many scholarships for the merit as well as economically backward classes. It is provided for them for the purpose of good studies. Many general candidates cannot have opportunity to these kind of scholarships.

Campus Life :

We have a good range of sports and other activities such as football, volleyball and other sports. Everyone have asses to them and coming to the labs they are quite good with the available equipments.

Alumni/Alumna :

The alumni network of our University is good and makes all the updates available to the viewers. They work so that there is no problem faced by the students. And finally they are very helpful to us. The seniors are also very helpful.

Admission :

I have been eligible by JEE Mains Entrance Examination. So in that context I've chosen this University. The admission process includes the payment of fee followed by the certificate verification and the allotment of seat.

Faculty :

Our college consists of a set of good teachers and professors. They are well skilled and teach to their level best. Some of the PhD scholars come to teach for the first year students. Overall the faculty is good.

NIT Silchar - Honest Review

Placement Experience:

The placements of this college were very good until last year but last year due to decline in tech jobs and the burst of the IT boom , the placements have declined to a significant amount and there is no hope of recovery anytime soon . As far as I have learned from my seniors, placements are not very satisfactory.

Entrance Preview:

IIT-JEE 2016 , AIR 6629 , IIT guwahati is a college. It has its name and fame. So i chose it because it has all the facilities like co curricular and has a beautiful campus to stay at.

Placement Experience:

The placement and job opportunities in the campus placements are good as most of the graduates get a decent job before leaving the campus . The jobs offered are mainly in the non core sectors as the craze to do core jobs has tremendously went down in last few years.
