Remarks :

I would say that overall as an experience the college is simply magnificent and it would give the best experience a studentcan get in his undergraduate years, the competition will surely bring out the best in students

Course Curriculum Overview :

Well collaborated and timely revision makes this course unique, also great faculty members and ongoing research in diverse fields, gives flexibility to pursue courses from other departments which is an absolute hit

Placement Experience :

Placements are governed by the career development centre which does the same for all the twenty two schools in the university, they regularly conduct personality development sessions and since its a student run community it's great

College Events :

Two main events are celebrated every year throughout the institute such as spring fest, and kshitij the former being a cultural fest and latter a tech fest. Also fests go all over the year as some departments have specific meet ups

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The structure of fees is not very expensive and is quite reasonable considering the quality of education and experience given. Also the number of yearly scholarships, alumni grants and competitions make it easier

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The mcm scholarship covers most of the students and takes care of their fees, also the in campus banking partner sbi provides a low interest loan to students and it reduces the load of burden on the pupil

Campus Life :

Labs are top notch as its funded by the ministry of education and as well as from alumni fund, every school has a lab of its own and the facilities are top class, from milling to cnc to 3d printing, it's great

Alumni/Alumna :

Being one of the oldest eminent instutuon in the country the quality and the expertise of faculty and alumni are very deep, and is present in many countries. Kgp alumni work in various different fields and contribute greatly to their chhort and they are very helpful and approachable to the fellow juniors

Admission :

Jee mains examination among fifteen lakh students and then jee advanced exam among one and a half lakh students, then aat exam for architectural aptitude test which tests on various concepts on spatial ability and geometry

Faculty :

Faculty are well trained and highly qualified to inspire the students in various core concepts in architecture and focus on technology makes the course very interesting and informative to learn. Plus

Placement Experience:

It is one of the only colleges where you get campus placement in architecture as well. The placements are decent with mostly architecture firms hiring but also some central government public sectors also come with higher pay packages. But mostly people do not study architecture thinking about placements, you need to apply outside to companies for better opportunities

Course Curriculum Overview:

couse curriculum could have been more practical based and professional, the syllabus feels more like a school syllabus than a professional study, I believe the syllabus must be revised and changes should be made as architecture itself defines Professionality.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The B.Arch course curriculum at IIT Kharagpur is very vast. Faculty:Student = 1:40 All faculties aka teachers have a very strong concreate knowledge about the subject, and their teaching method is top in the the country. Over a timespan of 4months, that is 1 Semester their are 2 class tests, 1 mid sem exam and finally 1 end sem exam. Its not that hard to pass the exam, all one needs is consistency.

Placement Experience:

Architecture dept. Doesn't give placements opportunities. Most of the students go for higher studies. So most of the companies don't come for placements. As for other engineering courses, the placement is top notch.

Remarks:

Just a single negative. The absence of maintenance of important labs. Rest everything is a positive, starting from faculty, their cooperation, care they take, opportunities provided by institution, affordability and so on.

Remarks:

It is okay. But definitely there is huge scope of improvement. In many of the cases the management and the administration will only be better if the people working at the lower level be more efficient.
