College Review

Remarks :

Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences is the complete package of education as well as good college life, where you will get to find yourself being part of it. Surely you will find yourself a better person at the end of the day.

Course Curriculum Overview :

My course is Food Technology, as it is the specialization in specific field it is very interesting field and new one.We can connect the things that we study in this course with our daily lifestyle associated with the food. It is applied field, where we study about all the things that we can think about the food.

Internships Opportunities :

Our college Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences doesn't provide any type of internship or training to the students from outside.Various workshops are organized for the students where the students from same college and other colarge can be the part of it.

Placement Experience :

Placement and job opportunities are not much good but all over it is dependent on your calibre. After graduation, I want to go for masters so I was not looking for any job or placement. But you can get the job If you are enthusiastic about it or eagerly want.

College Events :

Being a part of Delhi University, there are various cultural events, seminars, workshops and fests are celebrated time to time to boost up the enthusiasm in the students and make the life happening and enjoyable and informative too. On every festival there are some events by arts society, dance society, literary society e.t.c Songs of India musical fest held every year by college authorities. Annual fest Srijan take place in late January or mid February. At last you will not get bored in the college there will be always something that attract you towards them.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Being part of Delhi University, it is government funded college. So the fees os not expensive, it is feasible for the students. Fees is not more than 40,000 to 50,000 thousands for complete graduation Still having fees problem, you can go for the various scholarship programmes or for the concession.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are various scholarships for the students, those required the concession or scholarships for their education. They can consult to the college administration for the scholarship schemes for the education. I don't know much about the scholarships schemes but scholarships are give to those who score good marks in their academics or those having financial problems.

Campus Life :

There are various cultural societies in the college like music, dance, literary, dramatics, arts, Gandhian club, yoga club, sports club e.t.c so there is good hub of extracurricular activities where students can develop themselves. Practical labs are well developed and well maintained where you will get many things to learn at new level. Cricket tournament is held very year in the month of February where students from other colleges of Delhi University compete.

Hostel Facilities :

There is no hostel facilities in the college and no hostel accommodation by the college. If you are not from Delhi or nearby, you can go for PG hostels nearby the college or for other such things on your own. Many students accommodate near by college localities.

Alumni/Alumna :

I have been pass out in 2018, completing graduation in Food Technology. I am alumni, now there is good network between the college and alumni means all of us. Every year alumni meet takes place in August where all pass outs are called to be the part of event and interact with each other.

Exam Structure :

Exam structure is the semester examination. Exams are held twice a year. There are 6 semesters I complete graduation and therefore exams are held 6 times in the graduation. In first and second year you can select the general elective subject according to your interest other than your field.

Admission :

Firstly, I have to fill the Registration form on the website of Delhi University for the admission. At the time of Registration, I have to opt out the choices or field of interest in which I want to take admission for graduation or post graduation. In registration form we have to fill the 12th Score card accordingly and other details respectively. After that, Cutoffs are released on the website of Delhi University, we have to match our scorecard or percentage with that cutoff number, if it is equal or more than that then we can move ahead to college for admission process. Various no. Of Cutoffs are released according to the no. of seats. I got admission in 7th cut off.

Faculty :

Since its a science college, the college faculty is very good and cooperative to the students. They helps us a lot and guide us and groom us in academic as well as in life. We get to learn many things that are important in our lives by them and by working under them in small projects. Faculty is very much good and you will learn a lot if you will get chance to be the part of this college.

If you want to choose a career in teaching so you should come to Delhi University. My course was Bachelor Of Science (Mathematics) Honours in Shivaji College . Because I wanted to pursue Master in Maths further. The quality of maths faculty in my college was good but if you want to pursue the same course, you should to try another college of DU like in North Campus or South Campus like Hindu College, Hansraj College Shri Venkateshwara College etc. Other courses like Bcom. Hons., BA(program) etc Course was good enough in mu College

Placement Experience:

3rd year students are eligible for Placements. But there is rationality in the Placements because the placement cell only focuses on some course that has a background in commerce and economics so the availability of placement opportunities is less for science students. Highest package from our college is 19.5 lacks and the median package is 6.4 lacks in 2020-2021. But if i talk about the electronics degree, there are very less opportunities in that particular field because its a 3 year degree in electronics so you are not either from B.tech or from diploma. It's a new course.

Placement Experience:

There's no placement in the Science field after doing a BSc in any course you need to do a master's to get a job. You can work and do job in the corporate field as a placement cell brings opportunities in fhis area. But if you want to earn direct after graduation goes for professional courses like BTech, MBBS, BDS, BAMS, etc. You can check the college placement cell Instagram page to know about the highest package.

Placement Experience:

There is no placement cell in the college and therefore the students have to find jobs on their own!! This is a drawback but because of the name and fame of the college one doesn't find it much difficult to do so!

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are available for commerce students. Life Sciences does not have any campus placements. Commerce students get good placements from big companies at the very high package. We have a separate Placement Cell for this and also a Placement fair is held every year in which every student can take part. Life Sciences students prefer going for masters or for any government job after their graduation. Also, there are many jobs available for life science students in the private sector. We have jobs in chemical industries, medicinal fields, and research jobs. Life Science students always get an opportunity in science-related jobs. Most of my seniors went for them post-graduation. I am also planning for a government job after my graduation. Life Science students are also very active in internships.
