Dislikes

  • There is nothing so much to dislike in my college, but a few numbers of classrooms were badly infrastructured.
  • Election campaign in DU should be limited because it disturbs student's study. Library should be open till evening in every college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

If you want to choose a career in teaching so you should come to Delhi University. My course was Bachelor Of Science (Mathematics) Honours in Shivaji College . Because I wanted to pursue Master in Maths further. The quality of maths faculty in my college was good but if you want to pursue the same course, you should to try another college of DU like in North Campus or South Campus like Hindu College, Hansraj College Shri Venkateshwara College etc. Other courses like Bcom. Hons., BA(program) etc Course was good enough in mu College

Internships Opportunities :

There are many companies which Offer internships in my college like Microsoft google etc. But I had not joined any internships in my college. One of my friends joined an internship in a company of Gurugram, I am unable to recall the company's name, his stipend was only Rs 5000 per month. The projects were related to data base management.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

My first year fees was almost Rs 21000 and in second year it was almost Rs 20000 and in final year it was almost Rs 10000 because of covid-19(othewise it was almost Rs 15000).The yearly fees was included tuition fees, lab fees, caution fees registration fees admission fees development fees etc in it. The yearly fees was same for everyone or for every category like Gen, Obc, Sc, St.

Campus Life :

First of all the festival in my college is welcome party, it conducts in july or August month every year for new students, and second is freshers party it conducts in September or October. The college fest is the best part of DU's Colleges it conducts in February, it is a 2 days festival. Almost every course's books are available in my college library, but I can't tell about other college. The daily news paper are available in many languages, many novels many autobiography available in college library. And students can study in library because the library has enough seating arrangement for students. The classroom are simple with sketch board or chalk board and with fans only.

Admission :

The eligibility of UG course is 10th+2 pass(intermediate pass) in related subject according to the courses for which one want to apply. The application form are fill up on university's website within application's date. And fees of every course also availables on university's website. The reservation is applicable in admission because few seats are reserved for reserved Catagorys and the details availables on website.

Faculty :

I don't know the exact ration but it could 1:50 almost (teacher to students). The ratio of faculty impacts the learnings of students because if the ratio is small so the students will be mentored in eagle eye view, if the ratio difference is big it impacts bad on student's study. The teaching approach of faculty was good. Mentorship of faculty was also good, in my class we were 10 to 15 students in a group under a teacher. Our mentor teacher interacted us in college and on zoom meeting on holidays. The interaction of students and teachers in my college was simple. We could interact any faculty, if we needed help regarding class or any other issues.

Other Applied Colleges

Hindu college Moradabad UP[MJPRU] | Master of Science [M.Sc] (Mathematics)

Because I wanted to do my master degree from my hometown because of economic problem

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always excelled in mathematics in school. So, i decided to pursue it for higher studies. You should only choose this course if you want to make a career in mathematics field for example if you want to become a mathematics professor, go into research, become a data scientist or clear exams like JAM, NET, JRF. They do teach softwares like R which is very important but they should include more technologies and coding languages into the course as well. Special mention: if you want to pursue a career in data science i wouldn't recommend this course. I think a computer major would be more helpful.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was always interested in studying chemistry since school so I opted for this course. The course is well built and designed in order to build your interest in this field. The college provides enough industrial visits to encourage you in the same field and organises sufficient conferences regarding the same. There are no such improvements required in the faculty except a few. Exams used to happen semester wise after every 5 months. We only used to prepare for these, only a few teachers asked us to solve an assignment and nothing much.

Placement Experience:

Last semester students are eligible for the campus placements. Although this college offers placement but not a surety for the same. The average package is 5 lacs andthe highest is 23 lacs as of till now. After graduation you may give the entrance exams to get admission for the masters degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In my opinion my course syllabus is good and better then some of the other courses. This course helps and prepares students for the real world application as it is a practical course and have all the industrial related topics in it. In my opinion the college should offer more industrial vists for the students. The difficulty level of exams is Average.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I gave Entrance and I qualified and I have no option other than this course. Our Faculty is a mixture, as we have to study Physics Chemistry and Mathematics so we have three 3 departments. Student teacher ratio is 10:1. All teachers are PhD Professor. they wrote many books also, their teaching is according to UGC syllabus. they provide notes. There is Semester exam after 6 months and one test in one month of each subject. You have to prepare your notes in a very well way to obtain good marks.
