What's New in Maitreyi College?
Maitreyi College Admissions 2024 is open for UG programs (BA/B.Sc/B.Com Hons.). Interested candidates can register online by entering their CUET UG application number on the DU CSAS(UG) portal at ugadmission.uod.ac.in. The CSAS(UG) 2024 application fee is INR 250 for UR/OBC-NCL/EWS and INR 100 for SC/ST/PwBD category candidates. Other important updates are as follows:
- DU PG Round 02 Seat Allocation Result has been released. Students can check the Round 02 seat allocation result on the CSAS PG dashboard @pgadmission.uod.ac.in. Selected candidates in Round 02 can accept the allocated seat by July 06. The college will verify the documents and approve the online application by July 08. The last date for online fee payment is July 09, 2024.
About Maitreyi College
Maitreyi College is an all-women’s college and one of the affiliated colleges of the University of Delhi established in 1967 in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. Maitreyi College comes under the South Campus of DU. It is accredited by NAAC A ++ Grade. It carries the accolade of being a star college for its Science Departments by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. Maitreyi College offers 31 UG courses and 3 PG courses in Arts, Commerce and Science in various specialisations with a highly qualified and experienced faculty. The admission to both UG and PG courses is carried out on the basis of the candidate’s performance in CUET. Maitreyi College Admission
Maitreyi College admission to the UG and PG courses is based on scores obtained in the CUET examination. Everything regarding eligibility of the course, where to find the application form, application fee and dates etc. is to be displayed on either Du's website or the college's website @maitreyi.ac.in During my admission, I did not find any difficulty I got my seat quite fast and on time. In the era of technology, i dont think one will find as many hurdles

For bsc life science course one should have medical stream(PCB) in 12th class and I got all the updates about admission from the YouTube only by watching several videos also I take regular update from the CSAS portal of DU. And I am from OBC category so basically this help me a lot in my admission process and for me the admission process is good..I have no problem with that!!

Admission:
At my time no exam was there, admission was on the basis of class 12 th percentage but now to take admission in Delhi University u have to give cuet exam and then to choose colleges accordingly to the cutoff. Also now u have limited options as u needed to choose subjects, earlier u were free to choose any subject of your choice u would like to continue as graduation

- Societies are good. Crowd is also fine. Faculty of my department was majority good. Placements are not so great
- Fests are good. Apart from fests there are a lot of other competitions and celebrations as well.

- Placement are not as good as other north campus colleges.
- Infrastructure can be made better. Fans of some rooms do not work properly.
Admission:
I was in the last batch that took admission by merit of board scores. Now students have to give cuet pg to get admission. I don't have a lot of ideas about cut off but it is not on the higher side. The application form of cuet can be found on the nta website. You can select the college according to your preference on the DU UG website when the application starts. Reservations are according to du norms. Exams are difficult in nature. They require a lot of understanding of important concepts. You need to work extremely hard because economics is not a very easy subject.

The main admission to any DU college is held mainly through CUET which is the (Common University Entrance Test). Cuet is held every year on the National Level... The entrance comprises the syllabus of mainly the 12th Ncerts.The questions are multiple choice.. CUET- with 2 subjects and 1 language subject and 1 general tests paper was required All the details about CUET are always available on NTA website Availed the EWS reservation benefits, requires EWS certificate Language and subject paper is usually of moderate level but general test is lil difficult. Technical issues can be improved
Likes
- The campus and the gardens, that maitreyi is known for, are really beautiful
- The atmosphere is lively. There’s something or the other happening almost everyday during fest season
Dislikes
- Food menu in the canteen is very limited, and the food is not very good
- Some teachers are not good in the economics department
Admission:
During the time of my admission, admissions were on the basis of class 12th best of 4 score. The eligibility was between 97.5-94.5% for economics hons. in 2020. You could easily download the form on DU's official website, and a minimal fees of 100 was taken. This was during the covid lockdown, hence everything was shifted online. Otherwise, you have to go to north campus office of DU to physically buy and fill the form, which can be shifted to online mode in my opinion. This happens in may, usually.

- Inconsistent Teaching Quality: While some teachers are excellent and experienced, others, particularly new ones, lack effective teaching skills. The Physics department, in particular, suffers from poor faculty performance.
- Few tech-based companies visit, and science students often do not secure placements in their field.Open Auditorium Discomfort: During summer, the open auditorium becomes almost unbearable, making it difficult to attend functions andevents comfortably
Admission:
Now you have to give CUET for taking admission in DU. Reservation is provided to sc st and obc students. Application process is similar to any exam you give. And its available on the official website of DU. Then after some days all the colleges release there cutoffs time to time. You have to check the same and apply accordingly

- I really liked the infrastructure of the college, it has huge building huge playground and there are lifts In few buildings of the college.
- The professors of the college are really well qualified. The teaching and are Very professional. They try their best to Provide knowledge to the children
Dislikes
- Furniture is not really well maintained. It is old I need proper maintenance.
- Devotion of the whole buildings are not so hygienic. The new buildings ones are nice, but the old one are bad
Admission:
I got admission through CUET exam. My score was 700 out of 800. to get a seat from general category is not really easy in the course. The CUET exam Is quite challenging and the application numbers were huge, so it is not really easy to get in Delhi University. The acceptance rate is really low. I was from general category, so I couldn't get any benefit of reservation, but there are good number of reservations for SC/St OBC and EWS. The cut-off from general category Has a huge difference. The CUET Exam only occurs once in a year, making it a bigger challenge for students to get into Delhi University. I think the frequency of the exam should be changed and there should be more seats for students.

- Maitryi college consist of new building which is full of big rooms.
- Washrooms are cleaned in new building and super satisfied with this.
Dislikes
- old building requires much attention especially washrooms.
- canteen food is not much good. should pay more attention to it

your need to score 50% + marks in english. you can find application form on websites. and application fees changes every year can check it on website. yess there are reservation benefits. i have gave CUET exam for my DU college admission . and its difficulty level is okay. it should be more easy process.

Maitreyi College University of Delhi Scholarship
As Maitreyi College is an affiliated institute of Delhi University, the students can apply for the DU scholarship.
