Course Curriculum Overview

4

I didn't chose this course. My mistake was that I didn't study enough to get Computer science or IT branch. But the course curriculum in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness is quiet okay. The syllabus covers important topics and is vast.

Placement Experience

4

Placements are pretty good. Many companies visit college during placement season with the packages going as low as 8 LPA to as high as 1.5 Crore per annum. Approximately 200-300 companies visit the college but only top branch students can apply to all of them. For low branch students you can apply to 40% of those companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

My first year fees was 198000 rupees. And every year it increases by 10000 rupess. If you get any backlog you have to give an additional of 5500 rupees to clear the subject either in summer semester or next year with the junior batch

Campus Life

3

DTU is the host of North India's best fest that is EngiFest. And many other fests also occur throughout the year. Library is also well equipped with many books. And many sports and extracurricular activities are offered on the campus. The sports complex of the campus is 10 times the size of my school.

Admission

I chose this college because of its reputation which is slowly degrading. The campus placement during my year is still pretty okay and I also got placed in a nice company, this was the only reason I chose this college over other colleges.

Faculty

2

I don't know about other branches, I'll talk about just civil engineering. The professors are the worst and don't mentor us about anything. They rarely teach in the class. And absolutely ZERO professors actually know how to teach.

Night Life

5

Well, night life is pretty chill. There is a gym that you can go. And many cafeterias, recently Domino's also opened in our college and Bistro also. For hosteler girls there is a timing of 9 PM after that they won't be allowed to enter the college premises. It is safe to roam around inside the campus but not outside the area is not nice outside

Placements are good especially during recession. You're eligible for placements after 3rd year. After 2nd Year you're eligible for Internships. All Big Companies like Google Microsoft Apple Goldmansachs Mckinsey etc. Highest package offered till now in 2025 is 85LPA (Atlassian) Average of CSE is 17 -18 lpa . almost 53% people get placed in 2025 (recession time). See The degree OF DTU has its value. So it gives you an edge while you go for off campus.

Placement Experience:

The placement rate here is around 70-75% on an avg in all branches and sometimes even higher. After 1st year only , multiple opportunities starts coming . After 1st year and before 2nd year , basically in summer vacation we have to do a compulsory internship (college also provides) and we are provided a credit for that . Then multiple opportunities like GOOGLE STEP ,amacon internship , etc come.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university doesn't beat around the bush while deciding the courses. They have picked only the subjects and the curriculum that are suitable for our field and focus on making us future-ready. Some subjects might seem a little fast-paced, but if you are consistent enough, you won't face any problems. It is safe to say that the exams and things taught in most the subjects are same to that of its so there is no lacking behind in that aspect.
